It was the right choice to book this for my first trip to Shanghai! Since there were two of us, we chose what seemed like a taxi company instead of a private taxi. Our flight was delayed, and when I reported this in an email to the driver, they replied, "Don't worry, I'll be waiting. Let's communicate via message." After arriving, I looked for a card with my name on it in the airport lobby. Once we met, they took our luggage and we headed to the car together. To my surprise, they arrived in a luxury car! Haha! The driver's English was so-so, but I could understand to some extent with gestures and a translation app. Since it was prepaid, I could just sit quietly and they would take me to my destination. Personally, I thought it was worth prioritizing safety and security over cost, especially because it was my first time in Shanghai.
