What to expect

Start your day with a breathtaking sunrise from Nagarkot, one of the Kathmandu Valley’s most scenic hilltops at 2,195 metres. After sunrise, enjoy breakfast or tea/coffee before beginning a scenic guided hike to Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Nepal’s oldest Hindu temples. Walk through peaceful forests, traditional villages, farmland and countryside trails while enjoying views of the surrounding hills and, on clear days, the Himalayas. Your private guide will share insights into local culture, history and village life along the approximately 12-kilometre, 4–5-hour hike. Finish at Changu Narayan before returning by private vehicle to Kathmandu, Patan or Bhaktapur. Mountain views are weather-dependent.
