Hakone Gora Park boasts a history of over 110 years. Surrounded by the rich nature of Hakone, visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers, as well as on-site facilities such as the hands-on workshop "Hakone Craft House," cafes, and the restaurant "Isshukudo Saro."

About Hakuundo Chaen Tea House This historic tea house with over 110 years of history was created by Don’o (Takashi Masuda), the founder of the Mitsui Zaibatsu and a renowned tea master. Built with creative freedom so that many people could enjoy tea, it is known as a “country house style tea room” and represents a precious group of tea rooms reflecting the spirit of modern tea culture.
Operating Hours:
Morning Session: 10:00 – 12:00 (Last entry: 11:30)
Afternoon Session: 13:00 – 16:00 (Last entry: 15:30)
No reservations required. Guests will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis based on availability.
Please arrive at the tea house before the last entry time.
The Hakuundo Chaen Experience Ticket includes matcha, a Japanese sweet, and the tea house admission fee. Note: The matcha served is prepared by the tea instructor. (Guests will not make the tea themselves).
