Guide
- Wuyuan Huangling Scenic Area, located in Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, is a typical Huizhou-style mountain village with a history of over five hundred years. Built against the mountains, hundreds of ancient dwellings are scattered in an orderly fashion on the steep slopes, surrounded by tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields and ancient trees. It perfectly blends profound historical culture with stunning pastoral scenery, making it a shining pearl in ancient Huizhou culture.
- The most famous attraction in the scenic area is the renowned "Huangling Sun-drying Autumn" landscape. Due to the rugged terrain and lack of flat ground, villagers have, for hundreds of years, habitually built wooden racks on their rooftops and used bamboo sieves to dry agricultural products. Red chili peppers, golden corn, and white chrysanthemums, set against the black tiles and white walls, form a colorful tableau of "sun-drying autumn families." Seasonal crops are dried here all year round, and in spring, tens of thousands of acres of layered terraced rapeseed flowers bloom, interspersed with pink peach blossoms and white pear blossoms, resembling a giant ink wash painting, creating a strong visual impact.
- In addition to the breathtaking natural and cultural landscapes throughout the four seasons, Huangling also offers a rich array of immersive cultural tourism experiences. Visitors can take the ropeway for a bird's-eye view of the valley, stroll along the bluestone paths of the ancient Sky Street alleys, or challenge the thrilling glass suspension bridge of Leixin Bridge. In summer nights, one can enjoy lantern parades and watch the hundred-meter-long dragon dance, while in winter, one can gather around a stove for tea, and experience traditional Huizhou wedding processions and New Year folk markets. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a paradise that integrates the slow pace of ancient village life, photographic art, and intangible cultural heritage experiences.
