Hanoi from/to Sapa Sleeper Train by VicSapa Train

redemption guide: easy seat reservation process: superb! transport included: on time and respectful driver. We had a wonderful experience with Vic Sa Pa Train. We decided too late to book a sleeper train but the VicSapa Train accommodated us fast and confirmed our booking instantly! The shuttle van is early and the driver is kind. Our trip to Ga Lao Cai train station is smooth and the VIP lounge is great and the people there. The lounge is near the train station so we need not to walk far. Upon entering our cabin, it’s clean and complete amenities, even the air conditioning is great and totally cool. Recommended if you need more sleep and convenience. Booking sleeper train with VicSapa Train is better than sleep bus if you would like to rest the whole journey. The comfort/rest room is clean, even the lavatory. Didn’t try the shower room. If you able to book the private cabin, please do so. For more private and quiet sleep. It runs also to the famous hanoi train street.

the cabin was ok. i slept on the top bunk so i could see some dirt in the top part of the door. my parents slept well as they were on the lower bunk. room amenities were ok. our cabin was beside the washroom so it was good for the seniors. included pictures of the other rooms - which were better but we were 3 so we couldnt fit in those.

Clear communication from the company regarding shuttle van pickup, they'll send you a picture of the vehicle and the time. Dropping us off a couple hours before the train ride at the VicSapa lounge where you can have dinner and shower. I booked the private cabin, which was clean and quite comfortable. However, I couldn't sleep well due to the sound of the chains racking against the wooden wall and the bumpiness of the whole ride, even with my ear plugs in. It was quite a unique experience though, but I'd definitely pick the bus next time.

I have been to Sapa several times, but this was my first time taking the sleeper train to Lao Cai. Overall, compared to sleeper buses or limousine buses, the train is much more comfortable. Since this package also includes a shuttle bus from Lao Cai to the hotel, there were no inconveniences at all.

Convenient and fast. Board the bus in the evening and get off at six in the morning, so you don't waste any daytime. There is a shuttle from Sapa to the station, and the driver will contact you. There is a place to wait upon arrival, and you just board the bus when it's time.

booking process is easy. book and pay on website, get ur railway ticket on the day over the counter then that’s it. the sleeping coach is clean, bed is comfortable. it’s a special and unique sleeping train experience. However… I couldn’t sleep over the night… the railroad track is old… when it started to depart… there were some metal hitting sounds like just underneath ur coach which is very loud and disturbing… and the journey is actually quite shaky and bumpy. if u r a light sleeper, it wouldn’t be a ideal way to go to Sapa.

love the experience! had the sharing cabin and it turns out to be nice due to friendly tourists. love the teeth brushing session in a shaky train too! overall nice experience!!

The train are really comfy that we slept like baby. We were still worried about the noise from the train was creating white noises for us to rest well.

booked a 4 berth Cabin for 3 adults and was offered to buy the 1 additional ticket at discount if we want to have our cabin privately for ourselves. we declined as it was additional 800,000 VND. so we end up having one stranger sleep in our cabin. Bus came to pick us up from our hotel took us to their lounge which really just looked like a small cafe shop with tables and chairs and had small purchasable chips and drinks. No coffee or Tea. They gave us our train ticket but no other Comms whether they will take us to the station and when asked they hardly spoke English. so we happily just walked over since it's close by. Also, there's a resto close by, you could eat dinner but not a lot of choices. if I was to do this train ride again, I'll arrange my own transport to the station. We loved the train ride, yes was noisy ear plugs.provided we slept well it was like your being rock to sleep but I guess we were tired from a lot walking. We had better sleep here than the plane. loved it.
