  • Mount Omuro: Take a cable car to the verdant summit, walk around the giant bowl-shaped crater, and enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the Izu Peninsula and Sagami Bay; the unique conical shape of Mount Omuro is considered one of the prototypes of "Lake Itomori" in Your Name.
  • Izu Cactus Zoo: This is not only a cactus garden, but also a paradise to get up close and personal with super-popular animals such as cute capybaras, lively meerkats, and leisurely red pandas; in certain seasons, be sure to see the world-famous "capybara bathing" spectacle, and be healed by the sight of them enjoying themselves
  • Izu Sea View Train: Take the unique "Resort 21" series of sightseeing trains, such as the Black Ship Train/Splendid Alfonsino, which have huge viewing windows, and some seats can even be rotated to face the sea directly.
  • The train speeds along the east coast of Izu, and the endless blue Pacific Ocean stretches out beyond the window, like a fantastic journey into a scene from Spirited Away.
  • Jogasaki Coast: Shaped by lava from the eruption of Mount Omuro thousands of years ago, the cliffs are steep, the rocks are jagged, and the waves are surging, full of natural and primitive power.
  • Kadowaki Suspension Bridge: Walking on the 48-meter-high Kadowaki Suspension Bridge, you can see the magnificent sight of waves crashing against the shore, and the howling sea breeze in your ears. The double shock of sight and hearing makes it an excellent photo spot.

A huge ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to our driver/guide Ikeda-san for making this trip smooth, safe, and stress-free. Thank you for your professionalism, your guidance throughout the day, and for helping us discover the beauty of Shizuoka with peace of mind. Your kindness and dedication made the experience even more memorable.

This tour is mostly self-guided. The drive is about 2-3 hours each way, in a mini-van. You'll get amazing views of the sea and the seaside towns. As well as the chairlift up Mount Omuro and the Zoo. The Zoo is completely unique and I recommend spending less than an hour walking the mountain to spend more time at the zoo. It is a very large zoo and can be done in less than two hours, well worth the entrance fee. You get to feed the animals (capybara, peacocks, otters, penguins etc...). It was amazing how a lot of the animals are free roaming and its basically an open air play pen (mind the smell and watch for poop). He takes you early to the mountain because tourism crowds peak around noon. Overall it was an unforgettable experience. Also the tour guide doesnt wait for latecomers since he wants to get on the road to beat traffic, so please respect his time and everyone elses. Also bring lots of cash and 100 yen coins. They come in handy for the feedings.

It was a wonderful and convenient way to visit Izu. All the attractions were included in this package. The duration for each attraction was comfortable and we were able to enjoy all thoroughly.

Our driver and guide, Master Wang, was enthusiastic, talkative, and provided excellent service 👍👍👍. On the way there, you can sit in the front passenger seat by the window, and your phone can capture the beautiful scenery of the coastal road right outside the window. You can even hear the sound of the Pacific Ocean waves. For smokers, don't forget there's a designated smoking area across the road from the Omuroyama cable car queue (next to the entrance of the Animal and Botanical Garden Hotel). The Izu Peninsula has very hilly terrain, and many attractions are quite far from the train stations. If you don't want to take an expensive taxi (which might also be hard to find) or wait a long time for a bus, this kind of small group day tour is the perfect option!

This package is a pretty long car ride about 2 to 3hr each way. David our driver was great and flexible. The cable car was down for maintenance which save 10 000 yen. I felt was better as we save $ and time so additional 1hr at the zoo. When you Visiting izu zoo, can see Mt. Omuro and was really beautiful. On a clear day, you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji. At Izu Zoo, ticket cost about 28000 yen for weekend ticket. Overall facilities were lowly maintained and very smelly hence was a bit sad for some of the animals. The capybaras were incredibly adorable, especially when relaxing in their hot spring baths. The zoo also lets you get surprisingly close to many animals. The train ride does not guarantee you the seat facing the window hence need to be quick, the majestic view only appear near one stop hence camera need to be ready. The volcano bridge and sea views were nice but required walking on stoney staircase hence not suitable for people with leg injury.

I highly recommend this Izu day trip! We took the Izu tour with Klook, and our driver, Mr. Suzuki, was truly outstanding! He was attentive, punctual, and polite, making us feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire journey. When we were on the scenic train, he explained the disembarkation arrangements in great detail, ensuring we didn't miss anything. He even took us to the Totoro bus stop for photos, which was incredibly thoughtful! Mr. Suzuki's Chinese is excellent, making communication very easy, and he answered all our questions patiently and clearly. Thank you, Mr. Suzuki, for making this trip even more enjoyable! I strongly recommend him to everyone! 👍

The tour was great and the stops were beautiful! Our driver, David, got us to our stops efficiently and was very good at communicating info about the itinerary in English and Chinese. Once you get to the stops, you get to explore on your own and your driver will tell you when to be back at the van. I particularly liked this tour because it gave enough time to visit both Mt. Omoru and the Izu Shobten Zoo. Most other tours made you choose between the two but I really wanted to do both so this tour was perfect!

Many thanks to Master Ryu for driving us around Izu; it was a very pleasant and enjoyable trip! Although we missed the sightseeing train due to a typhoon the day before, it didn't stop us from having a great time!
