While sightseeing around Mount Fuji, why not have a special experience where you not only eat but also "make and taste" it yourself? Yamanashi Prefecture's local cuisine, "Hoto," is a historical miso-based noodle dish that is said to have been Takeda Shingen's camp food. Udon noodles are thicker and flatter than hand-kneaded noodles, and are made by stewing them with pumpkin, mushrooms, and local seasonal vegetables. In this experience, you can experience everything from kneading the dough to stretching and cutting the noodles by hand, and simmering them in a miso-based soup with local vegetables. After completion, let's slowly taste a handmade cup in a tatami room. As a chance to experience Japanese home cooking, it should be an experience that will deeply remain in your travel memories. In addition, there are English-speaking staff available, so even cooking beginners and those with children can participate with peace of mind. The experience takes place indoors, so it is perfect for sightseeing on rainy days. In addition, we also offer additional options such as indigo dyeing and spice blending, so if you participate in combination, you can experience even deeper Japanese culture. The "Hoto making experience" is where you can encounter the taste of the region and the warmth of the people, along with the spectacular view of Mount Fuji. Recommended for those who want to enjoy sightseeing and culture at once!
