Iya, Tokushima Prefecture, is one of “Japan’s Three Secluded Regions.” You can visit the thrilling “Kazurabashi Bridge” and the magnificent “Oboke Gorge” in half a day by shuttle bus departing from Kotohira. <Kazurabashi Bridge>
The legendary “Kazurabashi Bridge” stands quietly deep in the mountains of Iya, Tokushima. This 45m long suspension bridge, woven from Shirakuchikazura vines, offers a thrilling experience with the gorge visible through the gaps in your feet, and a magnificent view embraced by untouched nature. It is one of Japan’s few secluded spots where you can enjoy both at the same time. *The vehicle operating on the day may be a jumbo taxi.

Children: Participants aged 3 to 12 Students: Participants aged 13 to 22 *You will be required to present a “Japanese student ID card” when boarding. If you cannot present it, you may be charged the difference from the adult fare. One child under 3 years old per adult aged 23 or older can ride on their lap. After completing your reservation, please inform us of your reservation number, the age of the child riding on your lap, and the number of children by phone or email. (Please make your reservation without including children riding on laps in the number of participants.)

It's convenient because you can get to the attractions without driving. A half-day is suitable and not too strenuous, and you can visit Kotohira-gu Shrine in the afternoon.
Upon arriving at Oboke, the driver mentioned that waiting two hours for the 11:30 bus was a bit too long, and we wouldn't be visiting the Iya Vine Bridge as stated in the itinerary. This was a bit disappointing, especially since Oboke is accessible by JR anyway.
