The iVenture pass include admission tickets to various places of interest and also free drinks or discounts to some of the better restaurants or bars. But the pass to the wine places is a little misleading. We had thought it included the transport to the wineries. Both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are out of reach from the city so if the transport to the wine cellars were included it would be perfect. Overall, we saved much money by getting the city pass.
The city pass had very very good and cost effective, also it covers all the important places. A must if planning a trip in Cape town
Bought the 5-day pass and it’s definitely worth the money. I got the premium pass which gives you a premium activity and I chose shark cage diving. Highly recommended!
the card itself is excellent, if you book the helicopter experience beware that the actual experience you dont get on the hopper helicopter and you dont get a video as stated on this experience as I was told the terms had changed, the reception staff are like rottweilers they tried putting us on a 6 seater helicopter the 2 in the middle at the back would of seen nothing, they stated it's all to weight restriction, I dont think so, they are trying to pull a fast one, stand up to them as we did,
Having this made life very easy and flexible. We were able to do so many things in the span of 5days. But take note the Cape Explorer and Cape Winelands on the CitySightseeing bus is no longer included in this pass as I thought it would. They’ll give you a discounted price for it anyway. Taking one premium option more than pays for the pass already if you go to Cape Town and purchase the tickets for it. All the other places are added bonuses. Hop on Hop off bus is really the best way.
Bought the 3-day city pass. It allowed us to go around the city and in the outskirts by bus, which runs very often and takes you pretty much everywhere. We also used the pass to do a day cruise, pirate cruise, visit the aquarium, ride the cable car mountain, take the township guided tour. Overall the pass turned out to be very convenient and was cheaper than buying tickets at each attraction. Highly recommended!
The pass is value for money if you planned to do some of the activities listed anyway and you save money on transport by using the hop on hop off bus. The staff were a bit confused when trying to redeem the pass from klook though. Also don't go on table mountain when it's cloudy. See pic for the view on a good day.
Great for getting around - hop on hop off bus was amazing. Lots of the other attractions were closed as too windy so didn’t get to make full use of the pass
