The building is also very special, with an exterior based on the famous historical site Byodo-in Phoenix Hall in Uji, Kyoto, and has been around for about 80 years. Please pay for the hot spring fee yourself. Hakone Shrine was built in 757 and is located at the foot of Mount Hakone in Japan, along the shores of Lake Ashi. The shrine is famous for its torii gate in the water and is the Kanto Sochinshu Hakone Daigongen, enshrining the Nine-Headed Dragon God, and is effective in traffic safety, good luck, and warding off evil. The approach to the shrine is lined with cedar trees over 800 years old, creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere. Reviews
Tour guide was organised and clear in his instructions. He gave some tips, suggestions and recommended trails on how to spend the time given for the places visited. We were given 80 min to explore the Hakone jinjja area. Time given was just right if you do not wait in line for the famous photo spot. Atami fireworks were phenomenal. We were given about 3hrs to have our dinner, shop at the Atami Ginza shopping street and watch the fireworks. A great day in Hakone & Atami indeed!
I was so lucky to have Hou Jing as our guide on this trip. She was incredibly patient and took meticulous care of each member of the group, making us feel warm, safe, and secure. Her explanations were thorough yet easy to understand, clear, and well-organized. It wasn't just a superficial tour; she truly helped us understand the local history and culture. The entire itinerary was well-organized with excellent time management. She handled unexpected situations and the needs of the group with flexibility and ease, which was very reassuring.
Our tour guide, Zhan Jie, was excellent. He provided relevant information about the shrine and offered helpful advice based on his previous experience, recommending several great spots to watch the fireworks. The driver of the Green 38 bus on May 26th was friendly and kind. He even shared some private scenic spots and knew the route well, ensuring we could catch our return transportation on time.
I was so happy to join the Atami Fireworks tour on April 26th! The itinerary was very well-planned, allowing ample time (about an hour and a half) to stroll around Hakone Shrine, followed by free time for shopping in Atami. The fireworks at the end were absolutely beautiful and well worth seeing!
I was very happy to participate in the Atami fireworks today, especially since Sister Hou Jing led us so well, introducing the scenic spots and delicious food to us! We enjoyed a wonderful fireworks display.
Meet at Tokyo Station at noon, then pick up the second group in Shinjuku. You can arrange this day trip on a day with a walking-heavy itinerary. It might be a bit cold waiting for the fireworks at the beach, so it's recommended to bring a jacket and picnic blanket to enjoy the surrounding stalls and snacks.
The tour guide Hou Jing was super professional. Because our family didn't want to take a hot spring bath, she also took us to take the cable car. It was raining all day. We took the cable car up the mountain and saw the beautiful Mount Fuji. The fireworks festival at night was awesome.
Overall, it was a good itinerary for relaxing and enjoying at a leisurely pace. The travel time is quite long, so you spend a significant amount of time on the bus, so I highly recommend bringing a portable charger. I wanted to see the fireworks from a good spot, so I arrived about an hour early and waited, but the waiting time was longer than I expected. To prepare for that, I think you could wait much more comfortably if you bring a mat or a heat pack. Overall, the atmosphere was unhurried and calm, so it was a good itinerary for those who want to enjoy themselves at a leisurely pace.
A satisfying day! Our tour guide, Yang, was very professional, lively, enthusiastic, and humorous, which greatly enhanced the tour experience.
Our tour guide, Linda Anna, was excellent. She provided clear, polite, and professional explanations. Highly recommended! 😀😀😀
