Thanks to our Tour guide Ms CC, the whole journey was pleasant. Even though the scenic spots are far from Osaka, the travel distance between each of them is within 30-40mins. What’s more, the view is gorgeous and breathtaking, making every minute spent on travelling worth it. Apart from that, Ms CC is considerate enough to offer recommendations and take photos for us in each spot. All in all, I would definitely suggest this package to prospective visitors.
the best way to experience long distance places is by booking a tour. a hassle free and having a tour guide managing your time in each places visited. so far i enjoyed every places from this tour. prepare extra cash for ticket ride to The Biwako Terrace. their cafe’s and restaurants accepts CC payment. i did not regret paying to relax and enjoy my drink in the Infinity Lounge. summer was really hot in Japan so i had umbrella and a portable fan.
It was truly a delightful day trip. The large tour bus was clean and comfortable, and the driver handled it smoothly and steadily. Of course, the most important thing was meeting an excellent tour guide, Xiao Du. He could explain and communicate in three different languages, which was superb! He was gentle, meticulous, and very attentive. He even gave us a bonus (a recommendation for a hidden gem), which added even more color to an already rich itinerary. I'm incredibly grateful. Thumbs up, thumbs up, thumbs up!
This is a meaningful tour that visits four locations: Shirahige Shrine, Sanzen-in Temple, Mangetsuji Temple, and La Collina. I chose it to see Shiga Prefecture, a lesser-known area in the Kinki region, and I was happy to see the large and magnificent Lake Biwa. Sanzen-in Temple, which was included as a substitute for the Lake Biwa Observatory in the winter season, was unfortunately a temple located in Kyoto Prefecture. Personally, I think it would be better if the schedule only included Shiga Prefecture's attractions, excluding Sanzen-in Temple. It seems like the Shiga Prefecture tour needs an image upgrade. Unfortunately, due to the old bus (18 seats) being fully booked with no empty seats, you have to endure the discomfort of a long journey if you end up in a bad seat.
This was my first time joining a KLOOK one-day tour, and from the start, I was impressed by our guide Liu Du's professionalism. He seamlessly switched between Chinese, English, and Japanese for the tour commentary (speaking with a gentle and refined local charm). Throughout the trip, he was very attentive and caring towards the group members, providing detailed explanations. He was also very clear about pick-up/drop-off points and time management. At the Lake Biwa observation deck, he recommended we take the second cable car up to the very top to enjoy 360-degree views, and also suggested trying Omi beef steak, among other things. All of these experiences left us with wonderful memories of Kyoto. Thank you, Liu Du, and thank you, KLOOK, for such a fantastic tour. We look forward to seeing you again next time!
Our driver (tour guide), Mr. Nick Lee, was really friendly and knowledgeable. He shared many little insights about the towns we drove past that a typical free-and-easy traveler would never discover. We visited three main attractions: Sanzen-in Temple, Shirahige Shrine, and the Metasequoia Avenue, enjoying beautiful views of Lake Biwa along the way. The weather was wonderful that day, which made the journey even more enjoyable. We were able to see the 'lucky deers' on our way to Sanzen-in Temple and easily had one of our best tonkatsu for lunch :-) Thank you so much to Mr. Nick Lee for driving us for hours, offering helpful suggestions, and sharing interesting stories throughout the trip. The day tour was definitely worth it, considering the distance covered, the little stories, and the wonderful locations we were able to visit.
I was very satisfied with this Lake Biwa day trip experience. The Chinese-speaking guide made communication seamless, and the transportation between each stop was very smooth. The floating temple, Ukimido, and the scenery of Lake Biwa complemented each other perfectly, making for excellent photos. La Collina has a large, well-designed campus; enjoying the unique grass-roofed buildings while savoring the limited-edition matcha red bean dorayaki was truly delightful. It's a hassle-free yet fulfilling excursion in the Kansai suburbs!
The scenery of Lake Biwa is really beautiful~~ The tour guide Miss Wu Fengyu is very polite. The viewing platform on the mountain of Lake Biwa Cable Car is very good for enjoying the lake scenery. It is very beautiful to eat donuts and drink drinks
