Imperial Citadel of Thang Long Ticket in Ha Noi

The Thang Long Imperial Citadel was established in the 11th century by the Ly Viet Dynasty, symbolizing the independence of Dai Viet. It was built atop the remnants of a 7th-century Chinese fortress on land reclaimed from the Red River Delta in Hanoi. For nearly 13 centuries, it served as a continuous center of regional political power. The structures of the Imperial Citadel and the artifacts found at the 18 Hoang Dieu Archaeological Site showcase a distinctive Southeast Asian culture unique to the lower Red River Valley, situated at the intersection of influences from northern China and the ancient Kingdom of Champa to the south.
