Perth: Sinkhole Cave, Margaret River, Busselton Jetty & Stargazing

Tour guide Jonny planned this Australian trip with exceptional care, leaving us with wonderful memories. Arriving at the long-awaited Busselton Jetty, we boarded the vintage train that stretches all the way out to the middle of the ocean, witnessing firsthand this famous source of inspiration for "Spirited Away." The ocean views along the way were breathtaking. Next, we visited the Canal Rocks, where majestic waves crashed against the rocks, and the seawater displayed rich, interlaced shades of deep and light blue, creating a stunning and jaw-dropping landscape. Finally, the Mandurah stargazing was the ultimate highlight! Thank the heavens for the brilliant night sky, and a huge thank you to Jonny, who was extremely attentive and professional in guiding everyone on how to use their phones and cameras to capture beautiful photos of the night sky. It was a truly glowing conclusion to the entire journey under the dazzling starlight, and we wholeheartedly and strongly recommend him!

At Lake Cave, the guide's presentation was vivid and engaging. Combined with the magnificent on-site lighting effects, the stalactites inside the cave appeared dazzling and breathtaking. Later, we headed to a Margaret River winery and tasted three exquisite wine-tasting flights. Each had a unique flavor and distinct layers, providing an exceptional tasting experience. Our tour guide and driver, Johnney, worked extremely hard. He started picking people up at 7:00 AM and didn't finish the day until around 9:00 PM. Driving all day like that is really tiring. At 7:30 PM, while we were still on the road stargazing, he helped us take portraits under the starry sky. True to practice makes perfect, he handled it with complete ease. The only minor regret was that the guide was a bit of an introvert, and with an entire bus of introverts, haha, it was quite quiet. Also, we felt the itinerary was a bit flawed, which is something the travel agency might want to consider. It was way too packed. The winery they took us to wasn't a well-known one in Margaret River, but rather a smaller one with poor scenery, and there wasn't even enough time for a wine-tasting tour (even though everyone was rushing). We suggest either removing this stop so people can spend more time at other locations, or heading back to the city earlier.

Tour guide Johnny was wonderful. Along the way, he pointed out special places to us, took photos for us, and on the way back, even stopped by McDonald's to ask if we wanted to buy anything to eat—so thoughtful! This one-day tour was well-paced yet fulfilling, visiting many famous attractions in the South West of Western Australia. If we visit Perth again next time, we will definitely join other one-day tours!

Many thanks to our tour guide, Johnny, for taking us down south. The road trip made us feel great! I especially enjoyed the Lake Cave tour where the guide vividly explained the formation history and chemical principles behind the crystals like stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, and shawls. The use of light and shadow during the tour highlighted their beauty, which was truly amazing. Although it was too cloudy for stargazing that night, Johnny took us on a special search for wild kangaroos!

This Margaret River day tour is highly recommended! The itinerary was packed with diverse attractions, from the Busselton Jetty train and Margaret River wine tasting, to Canal Rocks and a lavender farm, each with its own unique charm. The sinkhole cave landscape was breathtaking; walking through it felt like entering a mysterious world. Stargazing at night was unforgettable, with the sky full of dazzling stars. Our guide was professional and friendly, providing clear explanations, and the pick-up and drop-off arrangements were smooth. An amazing experience! Johnny was very attentive, the itinerary was well-organized, we had plenty of time to enjoy all the attractions, and he provided authentic explanations along the way. The scenery throughout the trip was fantastic, we had such a great time! Highly recommended!

The trip was very smooth, we had great weather, and we were lucky enough to stargaze and see the aurora australis at night. I highly recommend our guide, Johny; he was incredibly patient and attentive!
