Reviews
Our guide, Chao, was amazing, funny and knowledgeable. He was also a fan of the sport who made us fans of the sport. Sumo is the best!
It was the highlight of our trip! We were so glad to have experienced this. The ambiance is wild, the fights intense, the ritual and traditions interesting to learn about thanks to Cho our guide. He taught us a lot throughout the whole tour on the wrestlers background, the rules and especially during the face to face so we could understand what was happening or the reason why this wrestler won or not. 100% recommend. We would do it again if we have the chance.
We had such a great time at the Sumo Wrestling Tournament. Our Guide Zhang Chao was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the sport and obviously a fan. He gave us a really good understanding of what was going on and lots of funny anecdotes, so we got really interested in the matches (more than we expected!). Would highly recommend this experience to anyone travelling to Osaka!!
our interpreter/guide, Zhang, was amazing! informative, relaxed, very nice to our 10 and 7 year old, and a pleasure to be with. we highly recommend.
Great guide, really enjoyable experience, highly recommend
back seat to the side, could see/hear well. would have been better if the tickets were emailed.
Would not recommend. Better to find direct tickets to attend yourself. Guide was a hot mess, unorganised and skipped majority of the things the itinary says we'd do. The headsets to hear the guides commentary on the fights weren't working and we're uncomfortable so nobody used them. Everyone's seats were also constantly wrong and had to keep changing like musical chairs because the guide was unorganised. The sumo fights itself is worth seeing but only the last 2 hours worth (again something I wish we knew in advance)
