❄️Kansai Winter Selection|Want to experience snow scenes, lake views, forests, and hot springs all in one day? This winter route in Shiga Prefecture offers a comfortable pace and stunning visuals, making it a low-key and aesthetically pleasing INS-style itinerary. * The itinerary starts at Hakodateyama Ski Resort. This is a very popular family-friendly ski resort in Kansai. When taking the cable car up the mountain, you can overlook Lake Biwa in winter. The lake surface is intertwined with the snow scene, quiet and healing. The ski resort has clearly graded slopes, from beginner to advanced, you can find a suitable area. There is no pressure to experience skiing for the first time or simply playing in the snow. Children also have a dedicated PLAY ZONE, which combines safety and entertainment. Change into snow clothes and take a picture in the pure white world, it is very Japanese magazine-like. * If you choose the snow play + sightseeing route, after staying at the ski resort for about 2.5 hours, you will go to the famous Lake Biwa Metasequoia Avenue. This tree-lined straight road, about 2.4 kilometers long, is neatly lined with about 500 metasequoia trees on both sides. In winter, the road is surrounded by snow, with clean lines and distinct layers. The distant mountain scenery complements the straight forest road, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and romantic. It is a very photogenic spot. * The last stop of the trip is Makino Plateau Onsen Sarasa. Soaking in the hot spring in the cold winter will instantly take away fatigue. The open-air hot spring retains a sense of privacy while offering distant views of the Akasaka Mountains, full of natural feeling. There are both hot spring baths for pure bathing and mixed bathing areas suitable for families to experience together. You can freely choose your relaxation method. ## * From dynamic snow scenes to tranquil forests to warm hot springs, the pace is just right. Whether it is a trip for couples, friends, or family, it is a winter-limited, comfortable, and photogenic small trip to Kansai.

We had a great time & it wasn’t too busy on a weekday. The snow quality was great we didn’t have to wait at all with ski hire, clothes or lifts. Very smooth trip no delays whatsoever. comfortable mini bus ride too where you can have a good nap on the way and back. light snow flakes, sunshine. it was a glorious day!
Experience: First time skiing ⛷️ Challenged myself with two skis, my friend chose a snowboard, but surprisingly the same instructor taught both 🤣 Ski equipment: Absolutely must buy ——— ski gloves 🧤🧤 Helmets and ski goggles can be rented on-site Tour guide: This time our tour guide was Mia, she proactively contacted us beforehand to confirm the meeting location and time, very friendly! Safety: I don't know why the first pair of skis I rented didn't fit, and the second pair I exchanged for were easy to detach from the ski boots (huh). If possible, I still recommend paying special attention when renting... Oh oh oh right! The instructor we were paired with this time taught using a "feeling-based" approach, and because it was a group class, one-on-one explanations weren't possible. Later, the tour guide Mia spent extra time guiding me step-by-step, which helped me finally get the feeling of successfully gliding 🥹🥹🥹🥹 Best MVP of this experience ⭐️⭐️🌟🌟 Scenery: There's a photo spot (?) behind the cabin that looks like a mirror of the sky 🤣
Our tour guide Vivian provided excellent service, explained everything clearly, and took great care of our group of over 40 people. We were the only family who didn't ski but only played in the snow, and the guide accompanied us to Hakukane Onsen at noon, where we enjoyed Omi beef and Omi rice, which were absolutely delicious. We also visited a hidden gem (Metasequoia Avenue). Overall, we had a great experience and were very satisfied with the service. Highly, highly recommended!
It was my first time skiing and I encountered a rare blizzard day, but fortunately, the beautiful and gentle guide Vivian made the whole trip smooth and happy~ Thank you very much to the guide for making the whole trip enjoyable. The following are notes: 1. I paid 2000 yen to rent ski goggles, but they kept fogging up, and visibility was very low due to the blizzard, making skiing very dangerous. 2. The instructor only taught basic shoe-wearing and gliding practice. They didn't teach the snowplow turn, falling posture, how to get up after falling, or how to ride the lift. All the students, whether children or adults, young or old, hadn't learned yet when the class ended, which wasn't very helpful for skiing... I later found videos online to successfully learn how to ride the lift.
Our family's first skiing experience! A very beginner-friendly ski resort, the whole family had a great time, and we were lucky that it started to snow lightly in the afternoon. Highly recommend it for beginners to try!
Nick was excellent as a tour guide, and our ski instructor Mr Chan was very helpful and patient in teaching us how to ski.
The group tour had about 20 people, and the transportation was a 40-person bus, so the seats were very spacious. The tour guide was friendly and helped us buy ropeway tickets. During the bus ride, they reminded us of the photo opportunity when we were about to pass the floating torii gate of Shirahige Shrine. After arriving at the ski resort, they also helped us get our equipment. There weren't many people at the ski resort this time since it was a weekday. The lift was readily available, and there were three restaurants. The largest one had a place to hang and dry clothes. There were many types of food, and there was an ordering machine (drinks are cheaper to buy in vending machines). The snow conditions were excellent, with powder snow falling all day. It started snowing heavily at 3 PM, which was just in time to prepare to go down the mountain.
The tour guide was very diligent and responsible. Although there was a slight mishap that day, because the ski and snow viewing tickets were mixed up (we were skiing), he was still very responsible and spent more than an hour negotiating for us. In the end, he even covered the ticket price himself and reissued the tickets for us. He was also very apologetic. We told him it was okay, because mistakes are bound to happen when traveling, but being able to resolve them is perfect. I want to say to the tour guide, thank you, you are truly diligent and responsible.
The tour guide and coach were both fantastic! My whole family had a great time skiing, thank you.
Experience: It was a extremely snowy day and it was a little bit hard to ski. However, the staff there and the view were all very nice. . guide: Mia is our guide and she was so nice to all of us and always with a smile. I will definitely find her again if I come again
