Ishigaki Island: "Phantom Island" Hamajima Landing & Boat Snorkeling (Half-day Tour)

BEST snorkeling experience ever with Guide Sebastian! I can’t swim, but I still felt SO SAFE the whole time thanks to his patience, calm energy, and clear instructions Sebastian was always checking in, making sure I was okay and having fun — truly the best guide ever We even saw a SEA TURTLE up close!! I couldn’t believe it — so magical Totally a dream come true He also helped us take tons of cute underwater photos — even taught us how to pose! Experience: If it's your first time visiting Ishigaki and you have more time for another snorkeling trip, I would recommend this. First, we went snorkeling near Taketomi Island. Unfortunately, the visibility was low that day, so we couldn't clearly see the coral and fish from the surface. Luckily, our guide Chloe free-dove and captured clearer images, even encountering Limo! This activity lasted about 45 minutes before we headed to Yumejima (Dream Island). We spent about 30 minutes on the island for close-up viewing/photography before returning. The total trip was approximately 3 hours.

I'm so glad I booked this trip through Klook. The ocean here is absolutely stunning – so clean and crystal clear, and the ecosystem is wonderfully preserved. The team that took care of us was fantastic. Our driver was not only responsible behind the wheel but also skillfully captained the boat – truly professional. A special shout-out to our dive guide, Yuki, who was engaging, knowledgeable, and attentive to every member of the group. His fascinating commentary along the way and the amazing photos he took underwater ensured that we had fun and captured some wonderful memories. For anyone thinking of visiting, I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Thanks to Makoto, we were able to have an enjoyable and safe tour. Throughout the tour, they provided detailed and kind explanations in English. They looked after my elementary school daughter well and took great photos for us. If I visit Ishigaki again, I would definitely like to take this tour again.

I made a reservation on short notice the afternoon before, and it turned out to be a great decision. The friendly and attentive staff were very helpful and made it easy for me to snorkel. There were some people with children, so we split into groups and snorkeled, so even if you have small children, you can participate without worry. It's perfect for beginners. The total time is about 3 hours, so if you join the morning tour, you can join another tour in the afternoon.

Yuki was awesome and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained the process and helped with making sure everyone had their masks on properly. Snorkeling was amazing! The views were spectacular and saw so many pretty fish! Phantom island was great as well, however it's pretty rocky. Def recommend wearing water shoes for that part of the tour. Yuki made sure we all got some great footage as well and made everyone feel welcome. Thank you so much for a wonderful time!

Our dive guide, Diego, was absolutely amazing! He spoke excellent English and was very communicative. He was also incredibly enthusiastic and responsible, sharing insights into Ishigaki Island's culture, attractions, and more! Although we originally planned to visit Phantom Island, the weather was too bad, so we went to Osaki Beach instead, which was also beautiful! We were so lucky to see a baby sea turtle swim up for air, and everyone was thrilled. Our guide also went underwater to show us small marine creatures, making for a fantastic experience. We didn't have high expectations, but it turned out to be surprisingly wonderful 🌟. The guide truly made the trip exceptional. The four-star rating is only because we unfortunately couldn't visit Phantom Island, but honestly, we had a great time with the overall itinerary, even with the rain. It felt like it ended too quickly!

We went snorkeling with Makoto. The water was crystal clear, and we saw lots of colorful fish and coral. Makoto took photos and videos throughout. It was so much fun, we wish we could have stayed longer!

I went snorkeling in Phantom Island, Okinawa, and it was amazing! The water was so clear that I could easily see a variety of colorful fish and beautiful coral. The staff who guided the snorkeling were very professional and friendly. They taught me some useful tips and kept an eye on my safety. It was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend snorkeling in Tokashiki Island to anyone who loves the ocean and marine life.
