Kumamoto Mount Aso & Takachiho Gorge Full-Day Nature Tour

Had a good time joining this tour despite the bad weather. Pace is just nice and our guides are friendly and kind. Although Mt Aso is foggy and can’t see much due to the strong fog but rest of the itinerary like Takachiho Gorge is lovely despite the rain. It has a peaceful vibes while walking in the rain with umbrella. A pity we did not see any boat rolling activity as it was cancelled due to rain. Lunch was good and filling. Also enjoy a peaceful nature walk to visit the Amanoiwato Shrine near the river.

I enjoyed this tour. it is convenient for those who wants to travel from Kumamoto. and one get to go to 2 main attractions. time is allocated sufficiently for both. the lunch provided is good too. tour guides are great! if anyone want to take the boat ride pls book on your own. there was sufficient time for an hr boat ride. they even gave us a 15-20mins stop over for a toilet break before heading back. there is a supermarket where we get to buy some local stuff.

Started off on the wrong foot as we were informed that it was snowing heavily in Mt Aso and the itinerary needed to be changed due to weather condition. It was replaced by another 2 destinations which we equally enjoyed due to the light snow which makes them like Christmas time. The second destination was Takachiho which we went and it is beautiful. The lunch is good and ready when we arrived. Overall, it is an excellent trip as it is quite compact and makes it a worthwhile trip for those with limited time to spare as there are so many other places to visit.

This was a very pleasant trip. Although it was snowing and we couldn't reach the Aso crater, we were able to enjoy the beautiful snow scenery. The scenery of Takachiho Gorge was very beautiful, and I also rowed in the canyon. The lunch was very delicious and full of local flavor. The Japanese and Chinese tour guides were very professional. This was a perfect tour.

Great day trip with wonderful driver (Sakai-san), tour guide (Ōtsuka-san) and interpreter (Ushijima-san). Locations were beautiful and amazing + the journey to each location was cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend to those wanna explore Kumamoto and Miyazaki prefecture 👍🏻

The arrangement of the itinerary was very good. I was especially lucky to be able to get off directly at the Aso Volcano Pass. The source of the Cheonan River is quite special. The waterfalls in Takachiho Gorge are also very beautiful, but the scale is a little smaller than expected. It is a pity that I was the leader of this trip. It was a young girl who had almost no explanation about the scenic spots. She just led the group with a flag. It was a pity that she couldn't hear the detailed explanation. There were two Japanese tourists traveling with us, so there was also a Japanese tour guide accompanying the car. This Japanese tour guide was relatively experienced and had more explanations for the Japanese tourists.

Although the weather on Mount Aso was bad that day, the tour guide worked hard to confirm whether it was possible to visit the crater, which is commendable. Takachiho Gorge is so beautiful! The quality of lunch was better than expected and we had a great afternoon! It is highly recommended to join this tour.

Not able to go near the crater due to snow that affected the visibility. Everything about this day trip was excellent. Highly recommended.

Everyone arrived before 7:40, but the Chinese interpreter tour guide didn't arrive. The company urgently arranged for a replacement for us. We didn't leave until about 8:20, so the first trip had a long delay, so we could only stay for a while. Going to the next location, I was really dumbfounded at first, but the rest of the trip was pretty good. Even though it was raining, I still had a lot of fun, and the driver drove very steadily.

A fun trip to Takachiho Gorge. Unfortunately Mt. Aso was off limit during my visit due to volcanic activities. Lunch was just okay. Highly recommend.
