Great
The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. The only problem I had was the door to my balcony didn’t lock, so I had a little rough time sleeping as

Solo stay

Overall this stay was fine. Nice bed and clean. Expect a small room. Very close to Union station stop. The noise really got to me by the last day. The front desk running the vacuum at 7:30 am after a night of people coming home at 11, 2 am, 4am and starting to leave for their day at 6 am. The doors are a heavy slam. I was in a room on the same floor as the front desk and I could hear everything they say at that desk. It was a no sleep weekend until I found my earplugs.

Fantastic

This was a no-frills place and that's what was expected. We just needed a bed, bathroom and coffee and that's what we got. The hotel and the room were clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. The staff was very friendly, helpful and always asking how we were doing. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I'm sure to book there next time I go back to NY.

I loved how helpful and kind the staff were. I loved how quiet it was inside of the hotel. I felt very safe there which was important because I traveled alone.

Most of the rooms are much smaller than in their photos. Our queen bed filled the room such that it was flush with the wall on three sides. The bed was clean if not particularly comfortable. The room was clean enough that it didn't give you the ick, but it sorely needed a good mopping. Proximity to an R train station is impeccable. Also a nearby bagel shop that's pretty good.

Great

Solo stay

The rooms are tiny, which is too be expected in Brooklyn, but some of the design choices were weird. The shelf over the sink seemed like a good idea, but makes it almost impossible to wash your face without banging your head. The shower enclosure clearly had to be macgyvered with a tension rod and curtain to keep the bathroom from getting soaked. And the stark white everything, with just a bit of black and red, made it all look kind of grim. Absolutely no sign of the cute outdoor patio table set up that's in the picture online - there's a roof area, but it's not accessible to guests. Bottom line, it was functional and very clean, but not really what I would call "boutique."

Woke at 3am to what I assumed was a guest blasting music. Turns out it was the person working the front desk and their friends. Terrible night sleep as a result. Unacceptable.
