I stayed here for 5 nights, I really liked the location and friendly staff. The bed and water pressure was good. I didn't notice the bathroom mildew smell that much as some other reviews pointed out. Pillows were a bit flat and rooms are a little dated. There is not much closet space, only 2 hooks so I was essentially living out of my suitcase. Please note that this hotel is central heating/AC - you cannot flip between heat/AC by yourself. I also needed to transport my large luggage to Osaka but I wanted it to go to Osaka 5 days AFTER my check out as my next hotel didn't want to hold my luggage for 5 days (I was going to another area of Japan) and this hotel helped me with this. If you don't mind the lessor closet space and slightly dated hotel/for the price and location I would recommend it.

Generally ok hotel stay for the price but there is a very heavy smell of cigarettes in the hallway and rooms, even on the sheets. Considering this was supposed to be a non smoking hotel, either they are not enforcing it well, or not doing enough to clean it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Close to eateries. There were noises of equipment/machinery as well as people chatting as they walked the back lanes. It didn’t bother us too much but might for those sensitive to noise. Overall a good stay.

The room has seen better days. Needs refurbishment. It was probably designed in the early 2000's. Staff was proficient. Area around hotel was noisy...sounds of a nightclub bass thump at night. Close to Tenjin station.
