I had stayed at the the Clyde several times when it was the ace hotel and it was an excellent stay, fun and funky and the place had life to it. The is my first time back in awhile and it has become the Clyde and under new management. The staff are excellent and kind and helpful, but that’s where it ends for me. The place is worn Piet and run down and has no life to it. Bare bones basics. If you’re looking for it to feel like the old ace hotel…. Look somewhere else.

Booked two rooms. Room 1: full wall window in the bathroom. You'll be exposed to the whole street. Room 2: coldest shower in existence, no door, so you'll have goosebumps in the shower.

Fantastic

Solo stay

The property was lovely and was kept very clean. It was my first trip solo and I felt very welcome here. The attached coffee shop was also a huge plus.

The room was fairly clean but there was one obvious issue as we noticed the bath wouldn’t drain and there was a large clog of hair that looked like it hasn’t been addressed in months at minimum, which also broke the tub stopper. Outside of that mostly the room was in good shape and the staff has always been polite and easy to communicate with. We do like visiting the hotel on occasion when coming into town, but it is not our first choice but will still most likely remain in the rotation.
