Great
Really lovely staff, super helpful, charming setting. Bathtub wasn't clean on arrival. Room was clean but whole place is a bit dated - could do with a refresh. Great breakfast options.

Solo stay

This was my 2nd overnight stay here, the rooms are a little tired but clean with fresh bedding. Big comfortable beds, lots of space in the room. The showers aren’t so good as the water pressure seems too low. I probably wouldn’t choose to stay again on a warm day as the rooms do not have any AC, there is only a small fan and very poor air flow so I found the room quite uncomfortable and very stuffy. Last time I stayed it was winter therefore I didn’t notice. Staff are helpful especially the receptionist, food and drinks good, lovely location, very peaceful.

As an older property built in 1799 it was wonderful. The building was quaint and clean. It was outdated in decoration but that is what adds to it's charm. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The biggest issue we had was the water pressure. Our shower was barely a trickle and made it hard to take a shower. Otherwise our stay was Wonderful!

Loads of charm and nostalgia. Decent food. Some staff are friendly, some just do their job. This is a very old building with few upgrades. Our room was a bit musty, washroom was dingy and there are no fridges or AC is any of the rooms.

Very old property but nice character, however, needs serious renovation. We ate there and the meals were nice. Staff were friendly and amazingly patient and helpful. Check in was a little frustrating as you are trying to fill in the registration form and at the same time being given information, which you struggle to take in, would make more sense to give you a piece of paper with all the hotel information to read at your leisure.
