Great location close to everything and very walkable. Room was clean with simple Japanese feel. Breakfast with the room (in a restaurant 3 doors down) was filling.

This is a unique experience for family travel. It was a shared bathroom and shared shower room… But the individual stalls were so well cleaned and completely private. The showerheads are amazing—I literally want to buy one for my own house! The kids enjoyed sleeping in the bunkbeds and my husband and I had a loft bed. It was small, but it was what we needed and at a wonderful price. They also allowed you to store your luggage the day of check-in and the day of checkout. So if you have a short stay in Kyoto, this is a convenient option! And right off the subway.

Even though the property has shared bathrooms, it was not a hassle at all. Everything was super clean and well maintained. The rooms were comfortable and worked well for our family of three. The free breakfast is a great bonus, we found the breakfast very filling for long days of walking and exploring
