Think of glamping - that’s kind of what the room was. Comfortable but basic. Very thin walls so if you’re a light sleeper definitely stay away. Kind and generous staff of the coffee shop (basically the lobby of the building) fantastic cheese toast.

Lampstand was warm, welcoming, clean and modern! We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay. The coffee shop downstairs provided a delightful start to the day, so long as you can wait until they open at 9am. The staff were very kind and accommodating.

This property was strange in that it was in a coffee shop upstairs. The staff were friendly enough but the set up felt a bit odd.

This property is more like an AirBnB rather than a hotel. It is located in an old factory-looking building that has been converted into spacious and comfortable cafe. The proprietors of the cafe have turned the upstairs are into a few bedrooms to rent out. The bedroom we had was very clean and decorated in an inviting and thoughtful way. It was large by Japanese standards and had 4 separate beds for our family. The bathroom was small, with a sink in the open room, and a toilet and shower behind a door. Everything was very clean and seemed like almost new. In the morning, we went down to the cafe for some excellent drinks and baked goods for breakfast that appeared to be made on site. Some features of the property that may not be for everyone: It is not a hotel and there are no hotel-like amenities. After checking in with one of the managers of the cafe, we were escorted up a flight of stairs where we had to carry our own luggage. We were then asked to take off our shoes before entering the area where the bedrooms were located. The person who checked us in was very nice and accommodating, but spoke very little English. It was no issue for us, as we could use google translate and there were many signs and instructions written in English. Overall, we were happy with our stay and we would readily stay again.

I stayed here with my kids, ages 7 and 9. It has a beautiful cafe attached and kind, welcoming messages and staff. The room was stylish, cozy and comfortable. It is a 5 minute walk from the station where we met our guide for a full day flower farm tour. We are staying another night! There are four comfortable beds in our room so we slept very well. We love the Italian restaurants - all the dairy products in Hokkaido (cheese, ice cream, yogurt, milk) and the fruit are delicious.

The hotel was suitable for our short stay. Appreciated the location and the free parking. But just a couple of things that stood out: - Check-In: we received an email from the hotel through hotels.com that we would receive self check-in instructions 1 week prior to stay. This did not happen, and I ended up calling the hotel the night before for them. When we got there, I realized that I was given another customer room’s code. It’s mildly concerning that I was able to open someone else’s room with no additional verification. Thanks to the staff member who was present, we eventually got this sorted out. - Cleanliness: the room was clean with the exception of one of the two body towels that had a large stained patch. - Wifi: free wifi, but was spotty during our stay there.
