Below averageStayed with kids
If you are looking for a relaxing hotel where you can enjoy quality time with your family, this may not be the best choice. During my stay, the hotel was very crowded and quite noisy, making it difficult to relax.
My room was often affected by noise from other guests, and the overall atmosphere felt more like a busy tourist stop than a family-friendly resort. If you are seeking a peaceful and quiet vacation experience, you may want to consider other options.

The room itself was good and service at front desk was great. Unfortunately our room had a wall directly outside the window which was very claustrophobic. There should have been some heads up prior to booking as I would have stayed elsewhere. It was also very dusty.

FantasticStayed with family
The staff were excellent, very knowledgeable, and spoke great English when our Japanese was lacking. They had all the amenities we needed from umbrellas to a scale for checking bag weight. Check in and check out was a breeze. The room we had was on the top floor so it had a good view and had good quality Nespresso pods so I didn't feel like we needed to get coffee from anywhere else. The room was also quite modern looking and well decorated but that is not always a good thing.
The many fixtures and details in the room meant there were lots of corners and little hard to reach spots that weren't super clean. The cleaning staff did an excellent job when they came in so I think this is a design problem more than anything. I would also caution guests from eating at the breakfast. There are so many yummy places near the hotel that cost a fraction of the $30+ dollars they charge per person.
Overall a great stay and I will stay there again next time I am in Kyoto.

FantasticStayed with partner
Everything about this hotel was fantastic, from the reception staff to the room, housekeeping, and breakfast. We had upgraded to a Privileged Room, and, unbeknownst to us, it included an amazing afternoon drinks service from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The selection included beer, wine, sake, gin, tea, coffee, and hot snacks, which was absolutely fantastic.
I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s conveniently located close to the train station and within easy walking distance of many restaurants. The excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and added benefits made our stay truly enjoyable.

It was an amazing 3N stay on the 9th floor privilege room with a fantastic view of the Kyoto Tower. From the moment we checked in till checked out, all the staff we met spoke v good English and were v helpful. The afternoon tea’s food was good on the first day but the menu was the same for the next day. We didn’t make it back for tea on the 3rd day. The alcohol offered was decently good. The room was clean n tidied when we came back in the afternoon. It is about 10min walk to Kyoto station and 15min if you are taking the airport limousine bus. The hotel is not along the main road but in a side road. I would still highly recommend staying here.

This place was amazing, the staff here was fabulous. They were so outgoing and helpful. We arrived at 2 am, i had booked through expedia at eleven p m a few hours before are other hotel was horrible,
This hotel is nothing but class. They stepped up. Let us check-in early that morning at 2 AM
We were so grateful after flying in from Taiwan to Tokyo Then Osaka, and then, we took the public train to kyoto, we could not find an uber.
Our first hotel did not have any water. They did not inform anyone after being on 3 planes. We just wanted to relax and shower. We had to check out of the ***sakura terrace gallery kyoto*** do not stay there, you will regret it.
This hotel was the best. Everything about this hotel made our stay in our trip in kyoto worth it. Everything near here was close. My wife was extremely happy. When we come back to Japan this will be top on our list to stay at. You cannot go wrong here.May you all have a safe trip and stay blessed
To the hotel management and staff, thank you so much. You guys were great. The customer service and your dedication to this craft is noted. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

This is a lovely hotel with very clean, comfortable rooms, an excellent Italian restaurant and very friendly staff, but despite the name, it is not very close to Kyoto Station by foot. It is located 600-800m away from the station. Additionally, Kyoto Station is not near the main sights in Kyoto such as the Gion - the Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Line and Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line are much closer.
