GoodSolo stay
Queue at checkin was very long with only 2 staff working the desk.
Bathroom maintenance could be improved as the door wouldn’t shut properly and was very tatty around the edges.

Below averageSolo stay
The Biltmore is still one of the most beautiful iconic buildings in Los Angeles but it is def one to visit instead of stay at. The rooms were old and not maintained the bed was uncomfortable. They were really small and kind of dingy. The bathroom felt like being in a prison cell complete with bars with towels super thin they didn’t even absorb the water from the shower as a bathmat, and I slipped and busted up both of my knees. They couldn’t find a reservation for me, but through Hotels.com, and even though I had paid for a nicer room, I still got a very very poor room and they were unhelpful to switch it or find me something better. It was a big waste of money, even though I do love the property for the history I would definitely stay somewhere else much more comfortable and come for a drink here in the bar.

Like the hotel overall, especially its central location to cultural institutions and activities. Even a bit distant LACMA is of a single subway ride (Metro D is just one block walk).
Breakfast was a disappointment, for $39, the content was below the usual variety and quality. The Pitchoun Cafe 2minutes walk by the hotel might be the reason for it. That’s how we ended up going the next morning.
Two issues need to be addressed regarding room 937, all in the bathroom. The top half of the window needs to be covered because it directs towards to toilet, no privacy! The shower head does not transmit hot water well. It was lukewarm even turned to the utter most hot. Luckily it is summer now so we could still manage. But it must be replaced.

GreatStayed with family · For friends and family
Beautiful historic hotel, kept very clean, with great service. I really enjoyed our stay.
However, it’s an old hotel and our room felt a little tired. A little shabby in places - faded glory chic, if you want to be kind about it. But definitely very clean, and the bed, pillows and linens were comfortable. Coffee maker in the room was basic but worked, and our request for more coffee and water was actioned immediately.
No room service, so you had to order food from the hotel restaurants and take it up yourself, that was a bummer when we landed after a long transpacific flight. We had various dishes from the Gallery bar and restaurant, and they were strictly OK. Nothing to really complain about but nothing standout (except the meatballs, which were great). We overslept (jet lag) and missed breakfast, so can’t comment on that.
Fitness center was pretty good, and you MUST swim in the spectacular original pool.

Place is beautiful and the staff is helpful but my problem with this place is the extra fees. When u get there u have to pay 39 dollars a day to stay there and 55-75 a day for parking, with a 575 dollar hold which isn’t to bad but that was almost the cost of my whole stay in the hold.
