Solo stay

A very special stay and onsen experience. The room was recently remodeled with a tasteful blend of traditional stylings and modern conveniences. The onsen facilities were top-grade with an excellent attention to detail. The desk and dining staff were always helpful. Would certainly stay here again.

This place is amazing! Extremely clean and beautiful property. Very authentic and traditional experience. Not much English on signs and instructions, which made it a great experience. Onsen is wonderful, and very hot! Slippers and robes when you arrive. Definitely stay here if you’re in the area.

There is nothing negative to say. With all the private baths (and one was always available), it was the best hotel my husband and I have ever stayed in. It was the highlight of our Japan trip. Location literally steps away from the train station, so no dragging luggage around. And a 5-10 min walk to main street with all the shops and restaurants, monkey park and bamboo forest. If you are visiting Kyoto and like beautiful nature and tranquility, you'll want to stay here and take the 20 min train into Kyoto city, rather than the opposite.

A traditional hot spring ryokan. The rooms are new but the private baths were not. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was great. Great location in Arashiyama.

The hotel staff were amazing. They were super helpful and kind. The onsen facilities were very clean and well kept. The onsen was what we needed after long walks. It was very relaxing. They also offered massage services. They had free Ramen in the late evening which was greatly appreciated and free cold refreshments after going to the onsen. This was an excellent stay. I would visit again.

The staff were polite and friendly. Guided us through the process of taking a Yakuta and how to use the private onsens. Very nice to stay in a traditional ryokan.

This ryokan is even better than the photos and reviews. It is across the street from the train, so very convenient. All staff wete helpful. There is a casual yukata provided or you can chose a slightly nicer one, also complimentary. Slippers are provided. The onsen are easy to use, with mininal wait times. We absolutely loved it.
