Great place

I’m sorry, this place was a letdown. Our room wasn’t ready until 45 minutes after check in time. Sales people hound you the moment you step onto the property. The food in the restaurants really lacked any flavor and was even cold at times. The policy of not being able to wear a sleeveless shirt at any of the restaurants for a beach themed resort also was an unnecessary. Also, the staff was okay. At times they seemed friendly but most of the other times they were short and borderline rude. Honestly, I would not stay here again given the choice.

Amazing stay, perfect view of ocean and mountains, the pools&beach were clean, food was great. Very easy to get a taxi to go into town. Workers were all super nice and the ones that helped with the activities through the day were a blast!! Highly recommend doing the dance lessons, volleyball, karaoke etc.. highly recommend secrets resort!! I booked a bundle w Expedia including flights and would NOT recommend American Airlines our departing flight has been delayed 24hrs.

Clean room

I cannot say enough about this resort. I was there for a friends weekend with my bestie and we could not have chosen a better place. The drinks were strong and plentiful, the food was enjoyable (and bonus, you did not need reservations for most places!), the property was maintained wonderfully, and there were also pool chairs available (might be because we were there in low season, but still appreciated!). I especially appreciated there being a family side and an adults side (as a mom traveling without her kids for a change!). The staff also went way above and beyond. I dropped my phone while out in the Zona Romantica the night before we departed and was freaking out (understandably). Jennifer, in Concierge, went WAY above and beyond to do sleuthing between out Uber drive (who was also fantastic) and Find My Phone location services. I ended up getting it back with credit card and IDs intact and would not have been able to do so without her help. I don't normally want to repeat places but Secrets will be in future vacation plans for sure. Thank you to all the staff! (and special should out to Alejandro, our butler!)

The staff was amazing, the rooms was a bit outdated, but overall everything was great. Beautiful resort.

Everyone was very friendly. Resort is pretty. When greeted with a person we thought was staff to let us know about the property. We find out it’s someone trying to sell something. Did not like that. Also when trying to find out what was going on at the property. No one told us about downloading the Hyatt app. Was told to go to a certain channel on tv but we did not have the channel. That being said the restaurants and staff were great! The grounds are pretty. Everything is very clean and safe!
