Poorly maintained hotel. From the moment I arrived I could see it was nothing like the pictures, the entrance faded, and stairs leading upstairs uneven, dirty, and with a weird smell. Check in and out staff member was friendly but these necessary interactions were it. The afternoon staff member looked annoyed every time you returned. You have to use the doorbell to get in every time. Room was ok, had a weird smell which I disliked every time I returned. Very dated furniture. AC worked well but it was so loud, it was either wake up every time it turns on or be too warm. Washroom/shower very basic. Towels included. Bed had stains on, sock underneath from previous stay, spots of mould in the shower, sprinkler pipe held up by string. On the surface, room was clean though, no dust or dirt. Terrace poorly maintained, breakfast very basic but if you are on a budget it still helps. Location is fantastic, we were across the street from the music venue we came for. Walking distance to most major things or there is a metro around the corner. Unfortunately there are a lot of homeless around the hotel and we had to ask people doing drugs on the stairs to move so we could enter the hotel. There are only stairs in the hotel. Not an issue, but just be aware. Even for a budget hotel this was a little surprising. The hotel pictures are not accurate, and I understand the expenses involved, but this hotel really needs some TLC.

This place is okay if all you need is a place to shower & sleep. No hot water from sink tap. Shower door was broken. Custom drape was hung backwards, obstructing air conditioner. TV remote not working - missing battery. Unswept floor - wine gum, chocolate skittle and ballpoint pen spring found on floor by stepping on them. Stayed only one night. Sketchy neighbourhood - Do a Google Streetscape walk around the block and ask yourself if that is the scene you are comfortable with.

The location was the one thing that stood out. The room was passable clean, but there were other issues. I had to fix the toilet so it would flush. The security chain on the door was broken. An electrical outlet was not securely attached or covered. The mattress was rather hard. The bathroom latch was reversed, allowing it to be pushed open from the bedroom. The rest of the premises were poorly maintained, like carpets and stairs and sofas/easy chairs that were crying out for a deep cleaning. Electrical cable (nmd1/romex/loomex was running up the door frame and across to the corner in the dining room, not inspiring safety. The place was a poorly done DIY conversion. I would recommend this place for guests whose only criterion is cost.

Great little hotel in a perfect location if you plan on walking around and touring downtown montreal. Close to the metro and shopping centers. Lots of little food places around too. Room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The terrace is nice to enjoy your morning coffee. We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again.

Location was fine.breakfast was poor. Rotten bananas and poor selection. Extension cord in breakfast room was burnt and shorted out. Bathroom in suite had peeling paint. No trash can in sink room. Very small shower. No cups , no Kleenex and no shelf in sink room. No extra toilet paper. A/c was very loud. No phone. Very small TV. Only two very small pillows.Only one chair.
