I was expecting much better based on the hotel’s reputation. Compared to other four-star hotels, this felt more like a well-known property in a small tourist town rather than a true four-star experience.
First, the front desk service was quite disappointing. The staff felt robotic and lacked warmth. As expected, early check-in was not available, but instead of clearly explaining it as a policy, the responses felt vague and somewhat insincere. The same issue came up when I asked to change to a higher-floor room—they initially said no rooms were available, which didn’t seem accurate, as they eventually assigned me one.
The room itself was not exceptionally clean. I noticed dust in the corners of the drawers, and even the gym area did not seem well maintained. The breakfast was also mediocre and did not meet the standard I would expect from a hotel in this category.
The view is definitely the highlight, but everything else feels average. Personally, I would rather stay at a smaller hotel with better service and simply visit scenic spots or restaurants for the view.
One of the biggest downsides was the lack of basic amenities. Toothbrush and toothpaste were not provided, which is surprising for a four-star hotel. The swimming pool also requires an additional fee, and even the laundry facilities are coin-operated.
If you’re coming from the US, or even comparing it to hotels in Seoul, it’s hard to see how this property qualifies as the “landmark” it advertises itself to be.
