GreatStayed with kids
The hotel is very clean and ideally located, with shops nearby and an adventure centre with cinema and other entertainment facilities just across the road. We booked a family room and it was great, very spacious and clean. I requested a cot for my baby and it was in the room when we got there. The swimming pool and other facilities were wonderful, and we all enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant was great too and they were showing the World Cup final on the big screen which was brilliant for my husband and 10 year old who are football mad. The staff were lovely, talked us through the self check in and out. They also assisted very promptly when we realised our shower had no bodywash, just shampoo and handwash. There were a lot of positives and we’d definitely book again. The only things that let us down a bit was that the room was at the far end of the corridor so there was a lot of walking to get to it. It seems the closest exit was blocked off for some maintenance work, which we aren’t holding against them as it is temporary. It was very warm in the night and there was no where to get water, which for me as a breastfeeding mum was disappointing. I tried to message the team on the designated platform, I even went down to reception in the early hours to try and get some water but to no avail. I assumed there’d be a water dispenser or a vending machine at least. Otherwise a good stay, seems they are fixing a few things in the hotel which is promising. I would highly recommend

Good Probably one of the shabbier Village properties that I've stayed at sadly. Also unfortunate that the bar staff were not particularly helpful. Having arrived there at around 9, I indicated that I would like to order food. There were no menus at the bar so I went to get one from a table. By the time I went back to order 5 minutes later I was told food orders had closed. Had they told me when I first arrived that orders would soon be closing I would have made a choice there ans then. Annoying but not the end of the world.

Fantastic Plenty of parking, friendly staff, brilliant location, nice rooms and brilliant amenities. Only small issue was the car park beside attracts silly kids with loud exhausts into the evening… but nothing a closed window didn’t solve.

Good The room was clean but poor lighting and very outdated but I understand renovations are in place at the moment. Parking very good as was the breakfast. We have stayed here a lot on the way to our daughter in Wales and always been happy with things but definitely now time for an update in decor. Would still stay here in the future.

FantasticSolo stay
The pool is not for swimming, the shape makes it almost impossible. Don’t book if your looking to do lane swimming.
