FantasticStayed with family
Last minute booking, stayed for 3 nights and was not disappointed. Place of character and charm.
Check-in staff member was extremely helpful and considerate with view of allocating a room that met the physical disabilities and needs associated of the person accompanying me.
Room was large, clean and functional. Stayed during heat wave and a fan was supplied without having to request one. Staff greeted us in the mornings on arrival for breakfast and were accommodating.
Handy for all amenities as situated centrally in Banbury Plenty of choice with breakfast. Hotel situated in beautiful grounds, very picturesque.
Plenty of car parking which was a necessity when choosing a venue for us.
Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again

Breakfast was poor. All the cooked items looked unappetising. Skin on baked beans, greasy badly cooked bacon. Croissants hard

Below averageStayed with family · For friends and family
WiFi absolutely awful. Rooms are dilapidated, even the refurbished ones, stains on curtains, handle feel off the bathroom door. The hotel has an eerie feel. It was pretty scary getting in the loft that had seen better days. The rooms were unbearably hot and no air conditioning, wasn’t worth the money and we bookies for the character, but it’s a run down hotel that needs fully closing and refurbishing.

GreatSolo stay
Room was comfortable, and so was the bed. Bedroom doors are designed to self-close with a thud, so you are disturbed while trying to go to sleep and again early in the morning. Breakfast sufficient but unremarkable. Quite wide variety of tea, but only Earl Grey (which I don't like) and decaff among "real" teas, all the others being peppermint, green, lemongrass, various flowers, etc.

The room was hotter than a sauna, impossible to sleep.
It had obviously been very hot for a long period heat emanated from everything even the bed and pillows.
Didn't sleep at all and ended up sleeping in the car.
