Our second stay here, the room was equally well presented as the last time. Breakfast this stay was better than our last, this time more choices for those who don't like a plate full of greasy bacon. The hotel's location is close to resteraunts and cafés, with the awesome Honeysuckle bay just across the road, where you will find resteraunts, cafés, entertainment, and a walk that will take you all the way along the foreshore to Newcastle's Nobbys Lighthouse and the breakwater.

Great hotel in Newcastle! This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and would be my first pick for a hotel in Newcastle. Great location, friendly staff and great buffet breakfast. Parking is easy and is $20 a night and can be pre-booked online.

Fantastic

Solo stay

Clean, comfortable room, loved the blockout blind. It was a little noisy on the street side so recommend asking for a room that doesn't face the street. Parking was easy. Staff friendly and 8 enjoyed the free breakfast. A lot of hotels are fragrancing their lobbies and rooms but was super happy that I only detected this very mildly on the corridor of my floor but not at all in the lobby or my room. It may sound odd to comment on but handy to know for people with allergies.
