Stayed with friends

The hotel staff was unfriendly, and the sheets and furniture were dirty. I requested new sheets, but they never arrived. I then went to the lobby and asked for a refund because the room was not clean. The staff put me in another room, which had mold all over the table and was also dirty. I felt uncomfortable there, so I checked out two hours into my stay. The property definitely needs an upgrade.

The hotel is stunning! From the impressive pool, to my bedroom with magnificent sea views, to the stunning decor all through the entire surroundings, I cannot fault anything about the Royal M by Gewan. The staff were always on hand to make my experience stress free. I look forward to visiting Royal M again. A special thanks to all the staff.

Our stay here thankfully was short. The hotel was not up to the standards of other UAE hotels. The room was spacious and clean, however small things like handles falling off of drawers and the wheels on the desk chair coming off/ falling apart when moved made the room feel unkept and old. Don’t be fooled by the pictures of the pool and day beds/ sun loungers - these cost an additional £100 to rent for the day! The alternative are uncomfortable, old and dirty sun loungers - which felt unacceptable.
