**Overall Review – The Naka**
We had an enjoyable stay at The Naka, with several highlights alongside a few drawbacks.
**Pros:**
The private beach is a standout feature, offering decent snorkeling and a peaceful setting. The villas are beautifully designed with a minimalist aesthetic, though some practical additions would improve comfort—such as drying racks for wet bathing suits, additional hooks, and shelves under the bathroom sink. The food was consistently good, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
**Cons:**
The villas are quite close to each other, making the experience highly dependent on neighboring guests. Unfortunately, in our case, our neighbors were a group that was very loud and frequently played loud music, which disrupted the otherwise serene atmosphere. If we were to return, we would make sure to avoid being located near the larger four-bedroom villas.
**Advice to Management and Expedia:**
We booked a villa with payment on arrival, but were contacted in advance by the hotel requesting prepayment. Resolving this took time and caused unnecessary stress. Better alignment between Expedia and the hotel on payment terms would improve the experience.
**Advice to The Naka:**
The property’s strength lies in its tranquil and serene environment, which we believe is a key reason guests choose to stay here. To preserve this, we suggest clearer communication of expectations regarding noise levels and respectful behavior toward other guests.

FantasticStayed with partner
The Naka Phuket is one of the most visually stunning resorts you can stay at, with a design that consistently impresses from the moment you arrive. The open-air reception sets the tone, and the villa experience takes it further with a fully indoor-outdoor layout, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a private splash pool that creates a unique “glass house” feel while maintaining privacy.
Service throughout the stay was exceptional. Staff were responsive, the buggy transport system was fast and reliable, and the hotel app made it easy to manage dining, excursions, and requests. The only issue was a miscommunication with an extended stay request, which required multiple follow-ups and temporarily deactivated our room keys.
Amenities were excellent, including two restaurants with great views, a high-quality gym, and a standout spa experience. The three-hour couples massage was a highlight, even for someone who typically doesn’t enjoy massages. The beach was quiet and nearly empty, though slightly rocky, adding to the feeling of having the resort to yourself.
At around $4,500 for five nights, it offers strong value for the level of design, service, and privacy. Despite minor wear in some areas, this was easily one of the best and most memorable resort stays we’ve had, and we would absolutely return.

GoodSolo stay
This was sadly a very disappointing trip. Architecturally, the hotel is stunning and the view from the beach room was truly spectacular. However, the property is not well-maintained at all. The furniture feels cheap despite being only about 10 years old.
The biggest issue was cleanliness. It was really poor - I actually had to ask them to clean my room again upon arrival. There were oily finger stains all over the cabinet/closet doors and the shower door, which suggests they barely clean between guests rather than deep cleaning. Additionally, the showerhead in the outdoor tub was broken.
As for dining, the options were frustratingly limited. Breakfast was decent, but for dinner, there were only two restaurants available on-site. Since the hotel is quite isolated, it is impossible to just go out to eat elsewhere. The room service was also very limited, offering chewy pizza and a very small selection of westernized version of Thai food.
The gym was poorly equipped with bad AC, though the AC in the room worked well. On a positive note, the spa was very good. However, be aware that the terrain is vertically very steep; you cannot walk anywhere and will need a TukTuk or car to get around everywhere. Aside from the beach, pool, and spa, there isn't much else to do.
I wish i trusted the reviews more! everyone's pretty bang on.
