We had a wonderful stay. The hotel and room were spotless, the staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We were very well looked after from start to finish.

Solo stay

Hilton is in a great location, high standard of accommodation. They are currently undergoing refurbishments which was well signposted. The staff were excellent on arrival.

There was no advice on booking or when I spoke to the hotel by phone, that the hotel is undergoing major renovations. As a consequence there is no communal space, we’re had drilling and jack hammering even from 7.30 on Saturday morning. The entrance to the hotel was largely blocked off workmen sharing the small corridor, the usual coffee bar was not open - nowhere to sit anyway. The staff were unapologetic about the mess, just stating that it would soon not be a Hilton. We have stayed here several years in a row while attending an event. This was so disappointing. We are unlikely to return.

Great location, fantastic restaurant in the lobby. The breakfast and dinner was top-notch. The rooms were lovely and I appreciate having Chromecast and a large TV in each room.

Solo stay

They are renovating so the bar is closed and the staff were very late opening the Collins bar and staff not the friendly. Took the manager to go give them a hurry up. They should be better organised

Currently under renovation the Hilton sold out to a new purchaser. The lobby space was reduced to a quarter of its area & very dusty . Room was average carpet old & smelly , bathroom tiny & no exhaust fan to extract the steam , windows not clean . I suppose i stayed there at the wrong time .
