Very good service

Excellent service friendly helpful staff, clean, great location, and good breakfast

This was my first time staying at this hotel. From check-in to being escorted to the room, all the staff were excellent and very attentive. However, the next day when housekeeping came, I encountered the rudest housekeeper I have ever met. I greeted her with a smile and said “sawadee,” but she didn’t respond at all. She looked at me in a condescending way, spoke to me in a very unpleasant tone, and didn’t smile. I felt really upset because I have never experienced such poor manners from a housekeeper before. I hope the hotel will take this into consideration.

We traveled from Laos for a night in Udon and it's the first time we've stayed here since 10 years ago and we're still very pleased. The staff is super friendly and helpful, great food at a great price in the restaurant, and convenience to the shopping mall. Super nice and friendly check in reception. The room is clean and comfy for my wife and me. We had dinner here and it's such good Thai food without the hassle of going outside. The breaky buffet is very good selection of high quality food for all your taste buds. And i was impressed with the good tast of the coffee from the machine; I did not expect that. The only thing that's not clear and easy is the parking situation, next to the mall. I don't know how some cars get parked and other don't. but there is a parking lot behind the hotel that's just a 5 minute walk. We look forward to the next visit.

The room we were given was not cooling after 2 hours. We called the staff and they came to check it out. After waiting for an hour the staff was kind enough to come and help us move to another room. We will definitely stay there again. It was also close to Central Plaza.

Although the outside and lobby area looks beautiful and well kept. On your way to your room, you notice that the corridors are not air conditioned. When you enter your room, you must place your hotel key into the card reader on the wall to turn on the air conditioning in your room. If you just arrived later in the evening after a long hot day, the last you want is to wait for your room to cool down. Otherwise the breakfast was wonderful. The added fresh Thai tea cart was wonderful. The staff are wonderful as well. The added bonus for the Central Udon is that the Centra is attached and beckons the call of the tourist to spend their money.

We booked four rooms for a family visit after 13 years. Unfortunately, our room had a strong urine smell and there were stains in the toilet. We reached out to the front desk, and someone came to clean, which improved things a bit, but the smell still lingered. On the first night, housekeeping accidentally removed a family member's belongings and told him he was checking out early. Since we were out and didn’t have a local phone number, he ended up leaving the hotel and going back home. It was really embarrassing. My wife contacted the front desk, and they said a staff member would look into it and call us back, but we never received that call. I later called back, got transferred to the manager, and found out that the confusion was due to the room next door checking out early. I also sent them a message through Expedia but didn’t get a reply. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

I always stay at Centara when I am in Udon Thani

Swimming pool area is grim. Not appealing in any way. The pool area is surrounded on three sides by sheer walls it feels like a prison yard and the extremely loud industrial air conditioners helped to reinforce the feeling of not wanting to stay any amount of time.
