I was there three nights and the room was perfect, quiet, and modern, but there was no microwave. Also, the hotel is in an absolutely horrible location. Also, housekeeping came and cleaned the room, but took a dump as well (I knew because they didn’t flush the toilet enough times to get rid of their doodie pieces as well as the toilet seat was left up. I hadn’t been able to do number two in days, and one of my kids uses pull ups and the other one had been constipated as well). Then the day after I reported the incident to the front desk, I purposely left my “do not disturb “ sign on the door so that no one would come into the room (because of what happened the day before) and housekeeping went in anyway, stripped the beds and took all of the linen and never returned. They also turned on the AC and set it to 50 degrees (I purposely turned it off before leaving). I had to report that incident as well to get clean linen and have the beds made (after an excruciatingly long, frustrating, and busy day). At that point I felt like I was targeted for reporting the first issue. A few days away from a toxic situation at home was why I booked the hotel, only to end up frustrated and annoyed beyond belief. Not to mention when the housekeepers came to bring the linen and make the beds, they called my children crazy in Spanish and laughed at them for acting unruly, not knowing that they are autistic. Overall, I would say the stay was horrible even though it was a really nice room.

Unsafe area. Lots of drug addicts and no security. Was approached getting out the cab entering the building. Very dark entrance. So if you’re flying in at night, not a safe neighborhood. Staff was pretty OK. I was actually concerned for his safety. Only stayed for one night and got another hotel for the rest of my stay

Great
The hotel itself was nice and clean; the room was very spacious. Front desk staff was helpful. A downside is the location. The surrounding area felt unsafe and there are no places to eat that I could or would want to recommend. We stayed here due to a cancelled flight (weather-related). Being very last minute, most hotels were asking outrageous prices, and La Quinta was reasonable-enough in comparison.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Our stay was amazing! The hotel was very clean, and the staff made us feel welcome. Everything inside the hotel exceeded our expectations. The only downsides were that the two elevators were very slow for a 19-story building, especially during busy times. I also think the outside of the property should be cleaned more frequently because of the surrounding neighborhood. Lastly, it would be great if the hotel offered on-site parking for guests. I wouldn’t mind paying for parking if it were available, as it would make the stay much more convenient. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great
The room was big and airy with large bathroom that was well lit. In a world where hotel showers often have only half a glass wall or towels hanging in the shower (I'm not joking) this showered was attractive, practical and very much had a full glass door so I didn't have to worry about setting the bathroom. The breakfast area was spacious and the food selection was good. The waffles were great! The location is fantastic for travel. It's where the AirTrain meets up with the subway and lots of buses run there, too. It's not the most lovely neighborhood, but it's incredibly convenient for travel. I go to New York a lot, and I'll surely be returning to this hotel.
