Great new boutique hotel in town. Newer and a nice vibe with cool rooftop pool and bar. Continental breakfast was included and cozy/cool room with great AC and shower. Very reasonably priced for what you are provided. Will be back soon!

This was by far the best hotel. I’ve stayed at in my five years of traveling to Cabo. It’s a brand new hotel and the Hart of San Jose and not only was the hotel. One of my favorites, it was so clean, the amenities were fantastic and the staff was over the top Excellent! I could not brag about this place more, I would suggest it for anyone traveling to the area.

Fantastic

Solo stay

My stay at Laiva Hotel in San José del Cabo was nothing short of exceptional. The architecture and color palette are stunning—every corner feels intentionally designed and effortlessly beautiful. The attention to detail truly stands out, from perfectly folded towels to thoughtfully selected local toiletries that elevate the entire experience. The staff is incredibly organized and attentive, delivering top-tier customer service from start to finish. Every interaction felt seamless and genuinely welcoming. The property itself is a gem—an adorable rooftop with a pool, plus a coffee shop, restaurant, and bar that make it hard to ever leave. It’s perfectly located in the heart of downtown, just steps away from amazing restaurants, bars, galleries, and the vibrant art scene. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t wait. This place is bound to become one of the top spots in San José del Cabo, and prices will no doubt rise. It’s effortlessly Instagrammable, beautifully curated, and overall an incredible stay.

The room was ok, the cleaning service was excellent, the reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Poor event planning, the coffee shop had an event that included playing very loud music at 7 AM. do not need this on my vacation.

For leisure

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel! It's still under a soft opening so it's not quite running at full potential yet. No food / bar. The staff is beyond accommodating and kind. We loved the quiet rooftop pool area. It's in a busy, bustling area, so make sure you utilize earplugs. The upside to this is being able to walk everywhere. Also, we booked a suite on Expedia and it said it was 500+ sq ft, but it was maybe 200 sq ft. There is no privacy divider (only a glass door with space at top) between toilet and main bedroom area so this room is only recommended for very "close" couples. The bedding and pillows were quite comfortable, bed is firm which worked okay for us. One thing to note is we read in the room manual to return those plastic key cards to avoid a charge. Glad we saw that. Overall a pretty place and if you prefer aesthetics / vibe > functionality, you'll love it.
