Location is away from the main tourist sites, walkable as long as one is fine with climbing steps. Quiet location overall with good view of the river. Hotel is clean but is old. Some things (like shower curtain that has turned yellow and smelled unsavourily damp with years and years of usage). Breakfast could be a lot better in terms of quality and variety - could do with a revamp with an internationally trained restaurant manager.

My stay in Somerset Yangtze River Chongqing is 100% satisfied. Location is perfect to us as we have pre-booked a week long of tour driver. It could be a bit away from handy public transport, However, it is just a short walk to reach for one.
