We had a great stay! The room was comfortable, and having a projector instead of a traditional TV was a unique and enjoyable touch. The location was excellent, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and conveniences all within walking distance.

Moderately active elderly mother and daughter short trip. We had a good stay with stargaze with the standouts being the very convenient location especially for night owls. Plenty of shopping, food and massages in the area. We also wanted to commend the very hospitable and excellent service from the front desk to the morning buffet chefs. They often chit chat with my mother and she loved their recommendations for food. The rooms are quite basic but expected for the value in price. Thanks for the memorable time in Guangzhou

The hotel was made to mimic old Guangzhou! The decorations are beautiful. Multiple photo ops! The alley leading up to the hotel makes you feel like you are entering a time machine. Rooms are spacious, clean and cute! Love the protectors and little stool in the rooms, great for take out and movie night. Many options available for breakfast- both western and Chinese food. Our personal favourites were the wontons and scallion pancakes! The 9th floor had a cute little cafe area where they also offered free drinks. Then on the 10th floor, it was the roof top with cute twinkle lights and the views of the city. Best part of the hotel was th location! As soon as you walk out, it is a large pedestrian street. To the left, was a square with lots of big Chinese bbt chains and to the right, approx 10 mins was the moon bridge and yongqing fan! At night, there were tons of food stalls with great food options!

Located right on shopping strip. Convenient to shopping and other attractions. Staff were very friendly and ready to serve. 24 hours laundry free service. Good breakfast and free tea/coffee during the day. One note that the location is not accessible via car due to located right on shopping strip. A few steps from main road. Recommend hotel’s phone number to call ahead. We stayed for 4 nights. Great hotel.

The front desk staff and the housekeeping ladies are very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, in the pedestrian zone, The building and rooms are remodeled and well maintained. The toiled and bath are not separated which is typical in the residential building in the area, but not common with hotels. The breakfast is very basic.

I am a frequent international traveler. But this inn is probably the worst among accommodations that I stayed in the past 2 decades. First of all, the location was BAD. Trash on the street with random topless old guys chilling and sitting on the block, they didn’t look like homeless but local neighbors who lived in the area. My kid saw a big rat falling off one of the building roofs while we haul or luggages from the Didi dropoff point to the hotel. There were many restaurants and shops on the pedestrian only street (Shangxiajiu) but they were the budget kind. I know Starglazing tried to go for a retro style, advertising for 西關風情. But to me it was not retro it was simply old. I stayed at Manxin in Beijing before, which transformed the traditional courtyard homes (四合院）into a decent boutique hotel, keeping the traditional architecture and vibe. Stargazing is NOT that. There were molds, dirts, rust everywhere in the room. The “beds” were only mattresses that sit directly on the floor, no bed frames. The bathroom is a wet bath meaning there is no curtain between the shower and toilet. So when one person showers, the entire bathroom gets wet, the toilet, the floor, everything gets wet. If you aren’t careful, the toilet paper and your clothes may get wet as well. The only reason you should consider staying at this inn is the price, which is very affordable and it’s close to popular tourist spots like 永慶坊。
