FantasticSolo stay
I enjoyed staying here as the bedroom villas are just so aesthetically pleasing along with the resort. The resort is also kind of secluded and very quiet! Location is also great to main attractions in Uluwatu. Staff are friendly and helpful! I would stay here again!

I absolutely love the property. The staff and the chefs were amazing. It's not close to the main road so it was Very Peaceful. FYI, the restaurant closes after 3pm so be sure you have dinner plans scheduled elsewhere.

This was a lovely boutique property which is why we booked it. Beautiful rooms, garden and pool.
Most days we had the pool to ourselves. It was always quiet and peaceful.
Free breakfast options were plenty.
Only issues were that cars couldn't find it but bikes could. The outdoor bathrooms were show lots of wear and tear. Not enough toilet paper either.
However we would stat there again

Staff was very helpful. In the middle of Uluwatu, A bit hard for ride share drivers to find. Grounds are very nice. Upholstery needs deep cleaning secondary to stains. In the area for a wedding, would recommend other areas of Bali if you want a cleaner (so much TRASH) experience.

Below averageSolo stay
I checked in around 4 pm and my hut had such poor Air Conditioning that I could not stay. The unit was high up in the room and in a corner near the bathroom. The air was not very cold, so the temperature in the room was hot and humid. The bathroom is open air above the shower, so you have to keep the door closed (as a sign says) to keep the mosquitoes out of your bedroom and to keep the AC inside your bedroom. So that means there is no AC in the bathroom, and there are mosquitoes (and any other outdoor creatures) because it's completely open to the outside.
I told the staff that the room was too hot, and he let me see how a hut next door was compared to my room, and it was much cooler (not amazingly cool, but better). They said they were fully booked and couldn't move me to another hut. They would call a maintenance guy out "tomorrow". I said I couldn't stay there with that heat and humidity and asked for a refund so I book elsewhere. The guy there said he couldn't authorize that and could only check people in and out. He tried calling his boss and couldn't get ahold of him. Expedia tried to call them, but they don't have a phone (they only text), and the boss in Jakarta wasn't responding to their email. After about an hour, the boss responded and said no refund.
The property is beautiful, but it's very remote and you cannot walk anywhere. Next to the property is a construction site. This is the only time I have left a hotel. I lost my money since they refused a refund.

The room overall was okay, the outdoor shower was interesting and the breakfast was not good.
The area getting to the place was very narrow and not really a road. The property is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
Our first night music was going quite loudly till 4 am.

I had such a wonderful stay at Cemara Hills. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The hospitality stood out the most—every staff member I interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making the experience memorable, especially Wawan! He was super helpful with our travel logistics the whole trip even picked us up from our airport and dropped us off in seminyak for our next stay at another place. The service was seamless, from check-in to check-out, and all the accommodations were thoughtfully provided. I left feeling refreshed and well taken care of, and I’d happily recommend Cemara Hills to anyone visiting Uluwatu. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Very pretty and well maintained gardens. 3BR villa was spacious and clean but the bed in one of the rooms was very noisy.
About a 5 min walk from the property to the main road and 10 min to cafes and supermarkets.
Some afternoons they provide a small afternoon tea with local cakes and desserts which was very nice.

Location was nice but very small property with limited service. No in room service and internet was not working. Breakfast was limited and less veg options. It’s just getaway kind of property and not ideal for family.
