I do not recommend this hotel. We stayed for 2 of the 3 nights we had booked. The rooms were fine; bare amenities, a very high and ill-functioning rainfall shower head which made showering difficult, and much more rustic than the pictures make them look. The walls between rooms are very thin, and our neighbors were partying into the night. On our second night, we noticed an ant infestation in the bathroom. Hoards of ants were streaming out of the broken tiles on the wall, carrying their eggs. We are used to the occasional bug in a Costa Rican hotel room, but this was beyond our comfort level. We used Raid on the ants nest before they could spread more. The next morning, we decided to not stay our final night, and showed Maria (the receptionist on duty) the infestation. She agreed that it was beyond acceptable, and told us that she would refund us our final night. 10 days later, I’ve called and whatsapped the hotel every day asking for an update on the refund, just to get the run-around. If you’re going to promise something, you should deliver. We were also disappointed with the “hot” springs. They claim to only pump hot water into the pools “every 3 hours,” but we checked the temperature throughout the day and it was never above tepid.

Fantastic

Great time there. Staff was the best. We stayed at a few hotels in Costa Rica. This place just felt like a second home. It's not too busy or crowded, so the pools were not packed. The fact that they have 5 places to swim gave us plenty of time to have just our family at one. The best part of this place were the people. They helped us prepare every excursion. Very friendly and personable. We would definitely return.

Hot water did run out in middle of day. Breakfast was the same everyday and was good but not great, in my opinion. Noticed they cleaned the Hot springs and rooms all had bench outside the door and parking. Very very Close walk to their hot springs

Compact resort with everything close. Room was spacious. Don't remember any extra seating. Shower head is the heater so you always have warm water if you don't turn water up to high. Hot Pools were a little disappointing, though it was a cloudy day. There are 4 heated with each flowing into the next so the first is warmest. When we arrived, hot water was not flowing into #1 by the bar but was still tolerable temp. #2 could be tolerated a brief time, but 3&4 were cool/cold. After dinner the hot water waterfall was turned on and #1 became much more enjoyable. Dinner was convenient and good for the one day we tried it. Can eat on patio by pool, or lobby dining area. Breakfast was good, basic with mainly Costa Rica options.

The rooms are a little out dated with some in better condition than others. It was adequate for the 3 nights. Location was wonderful. We had a superb view but there was no hot water for our showers. Room was always cleaned well.
