Broken air conditioning and the staff were unwilling to get it repaired or allow us to move rooms despite staying there for 5 nights.

Don't expect a hotel experience, expect a student accommodation rental with makeshift service. The best example to describe my experience with their service was how they handled my simple request for some cups and an electric kettle. On my first night I called the reception asking about the availability of an electric kettle and how we had no cups to even drink water from. They asked me to come down to collect and sign a paper to get the kettle. Upon going to the reception they handed me some plastic cups. They don't even have drinking glasses, only plastic cups! Other things that stood out like a sore thumb: they provide room cleaning only after 3 days of stay, and the carpets were very dirty and had a sticky feeling to them. There are only three things that were good about the place: 1. 24/7 available front desk 2. Location is genuinely good 3. You get two full rooms Understand what you are signing up for, so you don't feel cheated later like I did.

Great
The rooms were spacious. The bedsheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. The surrounding area is safe but not right in the centre of downtown. The streetcar nearby was convenient though. Laundry facility was good.

Fantastic
We always stay here when we come to Toronto. It is the perfect location for everything. The rooms are always spotless and the staff is super friendly and helpful for directions, and advice on the goings on in the city. We love it here! You can also walk to all the main locations around the city from here too.

Staff were outstanding. Great rooms. Never knew you could stay in dorms. Dorm was better than some of the best hotels
