Breakfast, even if it's complimentary or included in the rate, could be better.
Next, we need to talk about the noise—music—from a club right across from the hotel, but this isn't anyone's fault or responsibility; it's just part of the Zona Rosa. If you don't want noise, the hotel staff told me that the rooms in the back are better because they're quieter.
That said, it's not like you can't sleep there either.

Fantastic First of all, I would give them a rating higher than 5 stars if I could. I am starting with receptionist Aldair Peña, who went above and beyond for my family and me. He was attentive and gave great advice when I asked him about food and shopping spots in the area. I felt like I was with family when he was around. I am grateful to Israel and Saul, who greeted us every time we walked in and were always gracious. We will definitely be coming back!

Great stay! Location is walkable to a lot of areas. Breakfast was adequate and a quick/easy way to start the date. Staff was really helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. Quick walk to a main metro stop, which proved really useful. No complaints!

Located in a district of the city that appears to have a 'red light' flare, the Amberes Hotel has nice rooms and a few amenities one might find useful. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel were nice with reasonable pricing.
As far as the staff goes, Im going to share a mixed review. The bar staff and waiting hotel and bar staff were all very nice and helpful. The front desk staff started out nice and reasonable but turned a leaf. I do understand hotels have policy they follow when it comes to early checking guests, and I also know staff makes exceptions at their discretion. I offered to pay an additional fee if a room came open sooner considering my flight got me into town before 7:00AM. So I knew an early check-in was likely not going to happen till later like 11-1230ish.
Yet, some guy walks in and has some story about his friend was able to get checked in early, blah, blah, blah. I should state that Im fluent in Spanish and understood both sides of the dialog perfectly. After she let the man into a space before me, I asked about why she gave him preference. Her reply was that somehow he had made his reservation for the day before but had to rebook for the day I was checking in. This preferential treatment went on other forms, but I was exhausted and strived to not make a scene. So lesson to learn is make a reservation the day b4, cancell it and then make a new reservation for your intended arrival day and then ask for early check-in.

FantasticStayed with friends
My first time in Mexico City and wow the staff made me feel very welcomed and safe. They showed me the property and amenities as well as recommended some places to go. They assisted me without hesitation when my key stopped working and always opened the door when I was entering and exiting the property. They held onto my bags during checkout for as long as I needed as well.
Top notch service and I definitely will be staying again at your property!! Thank you for making it an amazing stay!
