We loved being in one of the original cell rooms, though ours looked in need of some TLC particularly the bathroom and the wardrobe/desk/chair.
The bed was very comfy - would have been good to have a lighter duvet for the current climate. The bar area decor is a bit plain - though the member of staff was super helpful and friendly.
The corridors/landing areas are obviously very narrow and when the team are cleaning the equipment clutter them. Would be great if they could find a solution to improve the first impression.

Great Really nice hotel however try not to book a room at the back,we were in 406 really dark and lighting not very good, another downside if you like an ordinary cup of coffee in your room using the kettle they provide coffee bags which didn't taste very nice at all but that was me,other guests may feel differently ,great location 😀

Below average The hotel does not have aircon - they pretend they do but they do not - there was a long queue of people with the same concerns about the lack of aircon. The hotel provided fans which was not helpful so we ended up in sleepless nights. The location was excellent and one of the best in Oxford. The staff did their very best and we appreciated it. Nonetheless, I wish they had been more forthcoming about the conditions.

Great Had a great stay here, perfectly located in central Oxford and also onsite parking which was helpful. Unfortunately our room wasn’t ready for a while after check in time but the staff were apologetic and gave us some money off and a free cocktail which was great. The room was lovely, we stayed in a suite which had a roll top bath which was loveeely! Will definitely be coming back.
