GoodStayed with partner
Overall 3.5/5
The room was clean and quite spacious, although the bed nook was a bit awkward to get in and out of.
It is in a decent part of town (north end) with lots of cute cafe’s near by without the hype of ‘downtown’. The feel is very much like an Airbnb.
Access to the property was easy. There is no staff per-se and check in is all digital. Easy to navigate and well communicated.
There is, at the time of this review, no long term parking on the street. This is a recent change so, if you have a car, you have 2 hrs parking curb side between 8am and 5pm so overnight you are fine.
I would and probably will stay again.

All good. Never saw any staff but no problem as this apartment hotel sent an access code for entry. On street parking was easy. Queen room 301 was clean, comfortable and spacious.

GoodStayed with friends
My friend's statement about sums up this property: "For $350 a night, this is a bit janky." Let me prephace this review by saying that there is nothing objectively wrong with this hotel, but I wouldn't say that it is good value for money. For the $350 we paid a night, there were multiple electrical outlets in the room that only had one screw, or were otherwise loose/coming out of the wall. The wood plank ceiling had messy splotches of paint throughout and we noticed in our friend's room, that they actually left the painters tape around the top of the room. The shower took a long time to heat up and didn't stay warm for long in all of the rooms our party rented and the heat settings did not work in our room and it remained relatively cold (which wasn't the worst in our case, but still). In short, if this was a $180ish-$200 a night affair, then it wouldn't be too bad, but for the price they are charging, in the North End of Halifax, I would recommend you look elsewhere. You can only take the "rustic" boutique hotel theme so far, at a certain point it is all style, no substance.

The room was beautiful and clean, but I found that the information on the website was a bit misleading. The ample street parking is actually only 1 and 2 hour parking. We drove around for a while trying to find the advertised street parking, because clearly we're not expected to move our car every 2 hours for the 3 days we're here. I texted the "text us anytime" number, and got a response back that they close at 6pm... So that's not anytime. To their credit, they responded within an hour or so to let us know that it's unlikely that we'll get a ticket. I really was not ok with parking illegally in a residential neighborhood with my US plates, but I guess it was our only option. We ended up moving the car a couple of times and didn't get a ticket. The other thing was that I thought every room came with a microwave and a hot plate, but no, you have to request it and remember how they never mentioned that they closed at 6pm. So there was no way we were preparing breakfast as we planned. I really liked the location but the stay itself was just too complicated for a hotel stay.

You will love the decor, well designed and laid out rooms…spot has everything you need for a short or long stay…further, proximity to the Hydrostone, parks, food options make it one of the top options in Halifax and the one I go back to every time I visit!
