Buffet breakfast was bad, cold food, fruit flies all over the desserts and food selections are not so good. The gym has no water or towels, carpet was so old. The room door’s paint were peeling off, the balcony rail’s were chipped off. The towels were old and worn out. It’s not white anymore. The only thing nice about the hotel was their proximity to all the restaurants and bars and the staff were all ready to help and responsive.

⭐⭐⭐ Great Views, But Needs Some TLC Summit Ridge Hotel has a lot going for it — the location is excellent and it offers great value for the price. The view of Taal Volcano from our room was truly breathtaking, easily the highlight of our stay. The lobby is clean and well-maintained, giving a good first impression. Unfortunately, that's where the upkeep seems to end. The elevator has a lovely glass window meant to showcase views of Taal Lake, but it was so dirty/foggy that you couldn't actually see through it — a missed opportunity given the location. The hallways leading to the rooms were also showing their age, with visible wear and tear. A fresh coat of paint and some minor repairs would go a long way in matching the quality of the room views and lobby. Bottom line: if you're after that unbeatable Taal Volcano view without breaking the bank, Summit Ridge delivers. Just don't expect five-star polish throughout — the common areas could use some attention to match the promise of that lobby entrance.

Location of the hotel is perfect especially if you want to sightsee in Tagaytay as well as great food places within walking distance. Pool was very nice and had sun loungers which we used. Communication with the staff wasn’t the greatest, prior to booking I had sent messages and no replies. During our stay, we had to call the front desk numerous times for laundry service, which we used and paid extra for same-day service. However one of our trousers were completely stained with yellow after receiving our clothes from the laundry service, which we then followed up with the front desk who stated they were following this up on multiple occasions with no outcome. The laundry staff stated the stain was due to pen ink, however this was clearly not the case as it was multiple large yellow/orange stains (prior to this there were no stains). The next day and our check out day, they attempted to fix and get the stains off the trousers however the trousers were the same and they gave the trousers back wet. No refund or compensation for this incident was given.

The place is ok. I’ll give it 5 out of 10. Staff are friendly but the rooms need more care. No hot water in the shower, no lotion, old tv remote, need new batteries, and the AC leaked in our bedroom. The breakfast buffet not bad.
