It was so quaint. I had a room with a large window over looking a private garden. So it felt safe, quiet, private and beautiful. The staff were so helpful. And the location was great — right in the middle of the city walls.

Our family stayed at La Colonna for 4 days. It was a nice, clean, quiet place to stay and cleanliness is very important to me. Check-in was easy and the host was friendly and gave us great advice on a nearby laundromat and a small cafe. A great place to stay inside the walls of Lucca. Convenient to anyplace you would want to go - restaurants, shopping, sites. We made day trips to Pisa and Sienna and drove around Tuscany. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great Great location within the walls of Lucca. Easy to find from the train station. Very hospitable. Easy self check-in, coffee and tea provided. Small bathroom but not unusual for lodging in old buildings. Luggage storage available.

Fantastic B&B, close to station and inside the walls of Lucca. Was a comfort to come home to every day after our extensive sight seeing every day not to mention everything inside Lucca itself. Highly recommend.

Fantastic a beautiful little boutique hotel near the guinigi tower in the heart of lucca, which is already very walkable. mirko is a gracious, helpful and kind host. the rooms are nicely decorated and the bed is made daily which we didn’t expect but was a nice surprise! very comfortable and a GREAT value.

The hotel was small, room only. The room was very comfortable and the Mirko at reception was so helpful. Tea and coffee available 24 hours. Everything within the walls of Lucca was less than 15 minutes.
