Things to do in Chongqing

everything about the tour was great. thank you to the team and also driver/guide Xiao Yang for being so Candid during the whole tour. he told us interesting facts about Chongqing along the way and brought us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch. he was kind and helpful and checked up on us via WeChat during self-guided parts of the trip. highly recommended!

Itinerary was straight forward and not rushed. Able to have time to walk through and enjoyed the scenery. Guide was informative and updated us with info along the way. He also gave us tips on taking photos inside. Ride was smooth, lunch place was at mid mountain which would cost abit more. Of cos, the scenery was gorgeous.

Mr Liu was friendly and informative. He contacted us the day before to arrange for pick up, and provided the itinerary for our reference. Bottled water was provided for the trip and he is always in contact.

Great experience! However, take note that this tour doesn't have tour guide, you're only going with a local driver with a translation device and those joining the tour. The driver will just bring to your destination and will tell you when and where will be the pick up time and location. You and your your team will be on your own most of the time. The driver will ask you to join other tour groups in some attractions, he will give you all the information you need. There were only 5 people in our team. They're all Chinese and speak only Mandarin, except for the little girl who speaks English. They're all very nice and lovely people. I'm currently learning Mandarin, so I did enjoy my time with them. This is a very long tour, so you might not be able to finish everything. The driver will tell ask you anyway if you still want to proceed. They all stopped at one point. For me, I decided to go to one more location.

Great driver who constantly update and communicate thru wechat cos theres auto translate. Took us to restaurant with a cave inside for us to explore while waiting for the food. Take note theres no halal. Bring your own halal food. For us, we brought halal popcorn chicken from. Halal shop the day before and order only white rice and omelette at the restaurant. The three bridges and longshui gorge is a must to go. Very beautiful nature and dun miss this place if you visit chongqing

it was a fun experience. there were varieties of food, including hotpot with meat, mushroom and fresh vegetables. nice dance and singing performances. the stage, lighting and the surrounding screen adds to the overall vibes. kudos to the staff who have to serve and clear heavy platings for each guest and ensure it’s done before the lights out for each performance. performers did a good job as well, engaging with the audience. only thing I hope the words at the screen were clearer so those at the back can actually read the words clearer. overall, highly recommended!

Qing Yu Yan Imperial Feast Experience offers a highly immersive and entertaining dining experience that goes well beyond just food. Before lunch even begins, we are drawn into the atmosphere with a series of light-hearted and interactive games. This prelude makes the experience feel more like a curated cultural performance rather than a conventional restaurant visit. Throughout the entire meal, the dining experience is complemented by well-choreographed dance performances. The performances are paced nicely alongside the courses, maintaining a lively ambience, and they add a strong sense of theatrical flair to the imperial-themed setting. The food portions are generous and well-balanced, allowing diners to enjoy without feeling overwhelmed. Each course is presented with overall imperial banquet concept and enhancing the sense of occasion. Overall, the experience blends dining, performance, and interaction into a memorable cultural experience - something unique, and distinctly Chongqing.

I completely understand why this gets 5 stars—it is easily one of the coolest shows I’ve seen. The standout feature is definitely the 360-degree seating, which actually rotates the audience around to follow different massive sets as they change. The production value is top-notch, using great special effects, lighting, and aerial stunts that make you feel like you're right in the middle of a movie. It tells a pretty heavy, emotional story about the city's history right before the 1949 liberation, and the cast does an amazing job keeping the energy up. If you're visiting Chongqing, it's definitely worth checking out.

This time, we took a taxi to Xiahao Street, walked around, and then went to experience the Yangtze River ropeway, taking a one-way trip from south to north. The South Station indeed had fewer people, and there were chairs to sit on while waiting, with air conditioning. Klook provided a QR code voucher directly, and we could scan it on our phones for entry, which was very convenient! Inside the shops at the North Station, there are windows where you can see the ropeway, so you can browse around. If you take the stairs down to the exit, there are a few photo spots.
