Mount Batur Jeep with Ulun Danu Batur Temple Tour in Bali

We traveled to Bali as a group of four friends, and Yana and Rhonda were our drivers throughout the trip. They drove safely and were incredibly helpful, especially when it came to taking photos for us. They were also very communicative and flexible, adjusting the pace of the tour to suit our preferences. We highly recommend starting early in the morning. This allows enough time to transfer vehicles, secure a good viewing spot, and fully enjoy the experience. Waking up early was definitely worth it—we had the chance to see a sky full of stars before sunrise, followed by a beautiful sunrise view. Along the way, we also learned more about Bali’s volcanoes and tectonic activity, which added an educational element to the trip.

We were picked up at 3am at our hotel to take us closer to the mountain. From there, we transferred to a jeep to take us up the mountain on an off-road dirt path. It was basically a line of jeeps going up the mountain so if you want a higher parking spot, you should leave earlier. The back seat had no roof, so wearing a mask and hat or hood made the Jeep ride more bearable. After parking, we were served breakfast. It wasn’t too cold (May), and as long as you wear layers and a jacket, you should be fine. The views were gorgeous, and our jeep driver, Jero, did a phenomenal job taking pictures and videos for us. He directed us to do various poses, and he seemed to always find the perfect lighting with our iPhone camera. It also helped that even though our parking spot was not the highest, it was away from the other Jeeps, so we didn't have trouble with other Jeeps or people getting into our pictures. Our favorite pictures were the night mode shots with the stars and when the whole sun was just rising above the horizon. After the sun rose, we went to the lake temple. It's a relatively new attraction, and not make others know about it yet. The lake was a beautiful spot for photos and was extremely tranquil and peaceful. We almost wanted to meditate or do yoga there. Overall, we had an extraordinary time. If you want to see picturesque views and get some shadin amazing photos, I highly recommend this experience with Jero and his team.

Wayan Lestari, who was picking us up at the hotel, contacted us the day before. We departed promptly at 2:40 AM, then switched to a jeep. Our driver, Jero, was an excellent driver and proactively helped us take photos and guided our poses, resulting in incredibly beautiful pictures! We enjoyed the starry sky and the Milky Way from the jeep. Before sunrise, we were offered snacks and drinks like sandwiches, instant noodles, tea, and hot cocoa. Although it was a bit foggy at first, the fog cleared slightly, and we still witnessed a beautiful sunrise. This tour is highly recommended!

Had the best Mt. Batur and Black Lava experience! Aside from the beautiful sights, JERO, our guide is the best! He was early and very smart with choosing spots so we get the best shots. He is a great guide-sharing information about the place and at the same time, conversing with us to learn about his clients. He initiates taking pictures and all of them are great! Definitely would recommend him. The tour was worth waking up early to!

It was a wonderful trip with our awesome tour guide couple, Jero and Sari. Their company definitely made the trip unforgettable. The breathtaking view from the top of Mount Batur, along with great food and amazing photography by Jero, was incredibly sweet and thoughtful. We also had a meaningful cultural experience at Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur, followed by coffee with a stunning view of the volcano, which was recommended by Sari. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit.

highly recommended tour if you want to watch sunrise without the need to hike! our jeep drivers agus and pendy took amazing pictures and even had a few drone shots. simple but warm and hearty breakfast was served on the mountain. AKASA cafe had amazing views and good coffee at reasonable price.

Amazing experience with our guide Bagus Putra, who connected with us via WhatsApp the day before on the pick up location and timing. He came by our Airbnb entrance at 2.40am and drove us straight to the jeep location. Bagus was also fluent in English and explained to us the entire itinerary for the day including optional activity (i.e Luwak coffee tasting) which was actually part of the activity. Our Jeep guide Jero was also amazing, he checks on us if we we're ready for photo taking at the sunrise spot and was really passionate with taking nice photos 🤣. Breakfast (part of the package) was also served at the viewing spot. We were later brought to the lake temple (secret spot) for more photos! Bagus later recieved us and we were brought to Akasa cafe with nice viewing spot reserved for us! We decided to go for the optional luwak coffee tasting before we were safely brought back to our accommodation. Truly an unforgettable experience. Highly reccomended!!

The result was so so so great!!! He picked me up in front of the hotel at 3 am and we drove for a while to the jeep tour place where I met the guide Kavit. Thanks to the kind and cheerful guide Kavit, it was so much fun even though it was early in the morning! He spoke Korean well and took professional pictures for me, so it was the best honeymoon course! It was cloudy during the jeep tour so I couldn't see the sunrise and it rained at the temple, but the guide passionately took pictures for me and introduced the temple and told me about Bali so it was the best course! After the jeep tour and temple tour, I went to the Bali swing course and arrived early in the morning so I didn't have to wait and took pictures right away, and I got back to the hotel a little after 10 am. I absolutely do not regret it!

my mom and I really enjoyed the whole tour! this is my mom very first jeep tour so she is pretty nervous about it. a huge shoutout to my amazing driver, Agung! she took care of my mom throughout the whole journey to the site. constantly checking with us while she was driving the jeep through a bumpy route. Agung’s care and concern really give us the warmth in the cold weather at the site. she took beautiful pictures of my mom and I and I never seen my mom felt so happy for all the pictures taken before. sunrise was a little shy but the process of waiting for it is definelty worth it, plus Agung make sure we are satisfied and happy. for those who are taking this tour, please request for Agung. she is young lady but her experience in driving and her hospitality will definitely blow your mind, in a good way. and again thank you Agung for the beautiful pictures and wonderful journey. a trip that both my mom and I truly cherished

My friends and I always choose tours with transfers, especially when it’s our first time visiting a country. Our transfer driver, Dewata, was punctual and incredibly patient. He even took us on a side trip to Teba Sari Bar and Restaurant, where we had lunch, and he kindly waited for us the entire time. Our jeep drivers, Armada and Agus, were not only excellent drivers but also very skilled at taking photos. They truly made our Mount Batur trip memorable, even though the weather was cloudy and a bit rainy. While we didn’t get to see the perfect sunrise, the view at the top was still absolutely surreal. Afterward, the jeep drivers took us to a beautiful temple—I can’t remember the exact name, but the sign in front read “Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur.” They were very accommodating and even apologized for the weather (which, of course, was beyond their control) because they were concerned we might be disappointed about missing the full sunrise. Overall, this trip was totally worth it. All three drivers were extremely hospitable, caring, and genuinely attentive, which made the entire experience even more special.
